First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for a Systems Administrator I who is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the computer network, including but not limited to, software and hardware support, user accounts, desktop computers, workstation images, software deployment, security updates and patches.

 

The Systems Administrator I will plan and coordinate network security measures to protect our members’ information. They will also assist in the development of process or procedure enhancements to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency.

 

This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity reporting to the Director, IT Operations and is based in Hollywood, CA. The targeted hourly rate in California is between $31.50~$40.00.

 

Responsibilities

 

· Partner with the Network Engineering team to install security updates and patches on workstations. Secure network by developing and implementing access, monitoring controls and evaluation systems.

· Monitor and evaluate network performance issues, including availability, utilization, and latency.

· Configure, test, and assist in the deployment of new and repaired systems to internal users.

· Is responsible for the configuration, testing and assistance in the deployment of new authorized software to appropriate workstations.

· Administer users in applications supported by the IT team, including user account creation, separations, and maintenance of permissions, as well as responding to or delegating IT tickets as appropriate.

· Create, update and maintain accurate internal process documentations and inventory of network devices, software and applications.

· Provide support or complete other tasks, including audit remediation, as requested.

· Monitor the network to maintain secure access to systems and network shares.

· Plan and coordinate backups of necessary information, such as workstation images and security keys.

Requirements

 

· A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent.

· A college degree preferred but not required.

· Certifications in appropriate technologies such as Microsoft MCSE, MCSA or equivalent preferred ideal but not required.

· Knowledge of networking technologies including routing, switching, and telecommunications systems.

· Ability to read, speak and write clearly to convey information effectively.

· Effective communication skills across all levels of audience.

· Knowledge of how to use a personal computer and MS Office products on a daily basis (Word, Excel, Outlook).
