Artera is looking for a talented Solutions / Sales Engineer to join the team. You will work directly alongside a team of Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Customer Success Executives under the direction of our Manager, Sales Engineering. We are looking for a Sales Engineer who enjoys giving compelling product demonstrations, exploring new customer use cases, and leveraging our product to meet diverse customer business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Run in-depth product demonstrations for a diverse customer and Prospect base.
  • Be a product expert for the sales process – providing solutions for the Prospect’s stated business goals using product functionality. This includes providing solutions for existing customers who are looking to add new use cases to their Artera deployment.
  • Lead technical discovery with customers to align customer use cases with integrated solutions. 
  • Be an integration expert for the sales process – understand the relevant architecture of a Prospect’s systems and how they can integrate into the Artera platform. Collaborate with the Innovation and Engineering teams to generate integration feature ideas.
  • Coordinate and complete Request for Proposals, Request for Information, and Security Questionnaires for Enterprise Prospects.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts with Prospects in non-technical and simple language.
  • Utilize creative problem solving to accommodate complex customer workflows with integrated solutioning across a variety of healthcare partners and vendors. 
  • Scope and evaluate the feasibility of Prospect asks, particularly as they relate to integrating with 3rd party data sources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-6 years of relevant work experience (healthcare and/or sales experience)
  • Previous direct clinical experience (previous nursing experience highly preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills
  • Ability to conduct technical discovery with Prospects and clients
  • Comfortable with frequent change and knows how to operate in a fast-moving, dynamic environment; able to navigate through ambiguity
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
  • Must be based in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, or the San Francisco Bay area and open to working EST hours on an as needed basis

  • Within 30 days you will…
  • Actively build a foundation of product knowledge using the Knowledge Base
  • Shadow Sales/CX/iO/Ecosystem calls
  • Learn the technical foundation to the Artera Platform
  • Begin Artera Demo Certification

  • Within 60 days you will…
  • Complete Artera Demo Certification
  • Handle most introductory product demos (mainly mid-market, early-stage) independently
  • Know how to internally leverage resources to track down answers to prospect/customer questions

  • Within 90 days you will…
  • Independently scope core Artera functionalities and generate SOWs
  • Begin handling cross-sell partner demos independently, field basic technical Q&A
  • Actively contribute to RFIs/SQs
  • Serve as an internal SME (i.e. participate in the #ask_an_se Slack channel)
  • Be accountable for technical validation and scoping for prospects and current customers alike
  • Work hand in hand with AEs and CSMs on net new and in-flight deals
  • Consult with Account Executives and clients to solve complex problems in the healthcare space

LOCATION

Artera values in-person collaboration and is currently hiring in the following US cities: Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Kansas City, and Philadelphia (Wayne). 


Artera HQ is in Santa Barbara, CA, and we have an additional US office located in Philadelphia (Wayne), PA. If you live in the Santa Barbara or Philadelphia area, your role will be hybrid and you will be required to work out of your designated office location 3 days a week, unless otherwise noted in the job requirements. 


If you live in Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, or Kansas City, your role will be remote to start. As our team continues to grow in these cities, Artera will be considering opening offices in these locations. Once that happens, you will be required to work out of your designated office location 3 days a week, unless otherwise noted in the job requirements.
