Primary Role and Responsibility:

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and goal-oriented Program Manager with strong team leadership, program management skills, and demonstrated successes to join our growing organization.

In this position, you will lead programs which require the formulation and implementation of coherent program plans and schedules, leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, and coordination with senior leadership, product marketing and functional departments.

This position directs all phases of programs from design inception to product launch, driving execution and ensuring program meets on-time, on-spec, on-budget requirements.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders to outline the goals and objectives of the program, set and communicate expectations to cross-functional team members and senior leadership to ensure business alignment and prioritization
  • Establish execution plans and schedules tracking critical milestones, risks, and resources needed throughout product development lifecycles
  • Implement and maintain a robust, proactive risk/opportunity management plan
  • Monitor all program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedule and cost commitments
  • Act as an advocate on behalf of the business and customers in driving a sense of urgency, team and individual accountability, and timely resolution of conflicts and requirement trade-offs
  • Leading program gate reviews to present cost, schedule, and technical performance updates.
  • Publish and present program status reports for Enterprise
  • Assist team members and technical leads as needed to help minimize churn and ensuring the program deliverables are timely, accurate, and high quality.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

This is a Hybrid role, requiring occasional travel to our Tustin/LA locations- Only local candidates will be considered.

  • Experience with hardware engineering or operations program management with experience in effectively handling factory builds and working with vendors
  • 7 years of applicable experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study
  • A proven track record of more than 4 years Project or Program Management experience with demonstrated ability leading both hardware and software developments efforts in support of business and portfolio strategies
  • Competency in program management strategies and methodologies, project performance evaluation and reporting, change and risk/opportunity management principles.
  • Experience with project financials, developing and following strict budgets
  • Excellent communication, and presentation skills required
  • Self-starter able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of project management and collaboration software (MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competency in Communications, Issue & Problem Resolution, Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, Risk & Opportunity, Continuous Improvement, and Agile
  • Proficient in applications of principles, concepts, practices, standards, and industry practices as they relate to the hardware, software, and operations development life cycles
  • Experience in commercial or consumer lighting industry desired
