The Creative Director will lead creative teams, develop design strategies, pitch concepts to clients, and oversee project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality.
Brand New School is seeking a Creative Director for a full-time hybrid role at our Los Angeles studio. With ~65 employees across the United States, we are a tight community of talented artists and producers with one common goal - making great work.
Responsibilities
- Leading and inspiring teams of creatives from idea conception through final delivery.
- Conceiving design strategies for pitches and projects for a variety of platforms, which can then be sold through to clients.
- Articulating ideas and leading a group of creatives to develop inspiring work.
- Assembling presentation decks and comfortably pitching novel ideas to clients.
- Creating designs, style frames, and motion concepts for a variety of content.
- A genuine awareness of the creative challenges associated with producing exceptional work while satisfying the demands of clients.
- Conceiving and visualizing forward-thinking ideas that push the creative boundaries of our projects.
- Being an active participant of the team and contributing to the creative culture of the studio.
Qualifications
- Instincts on how to approach projects, engage with clients, and lead teams
- Ideas for how to author novel creative solutions, evolve relationships with clients and inspire teams to create their best work
- 5 years leading teams and working directly with both agencies and brands
- A portfolio/reel of work that conveys an ability to art direct high-level work for a variety of content types.
- Articulate, wildly creative and a problem solver.
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Figma. After Effects is a bonus but not a mandate
- Must be efficient, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines
- Awareness of the creative challenges associated with producing exceptional work while satisfying the demands of clients

Salary Range
$140,000 - $180,000
Brand New School attracts a team with unique skillsets and varying levels of experience. The salary range provided is broad and will be refined during the interview process.
