Hello Sunshine is seeking a highly talented Vice President of Social Content, Editorial & Talent to drive the content strategy, build audience-first, multi-channel content plans, and lead all operations for a team of content creators, strategists, and community managers to create and grow engagement with our fans and followers. This role will play a pivotal role in working collaboratively across the company to deliver social programs that bring our stories to life in effective, creative, and authentic ways.

The ideal candidate will have professional experience supporting content across Instagram, Tik Tok, X, YouTube, and other video-centric social platforms. They will also has strong editorial experience at a digital publisher with an ability to translate a brand voice into a social experience.  We want an inspirational leader who’s both creative and analytical with strong experience working cross-functionally.  They will work closely with the creative team offering insights and support to develop compelling video, audio, and editorial content production.

We are seeking a creative leader that can bring strategic audience insight to life as the foundation of branded content and experiences that delight customers, change business and shape culture.  

Some of your day-to-day will include:

  • Oversee the development of innovative multi-channel, integrated campaign, content, and social engagement strategies to drive success and impact for brand clients across all categories
  • Manage a team of content creators, strategists and community managers and operationalize for effective and fast-moving content development
  • Direct the creative team, as needed, to build compelling social first content that drives audience engagement and growth
  • Identify and synthesize consumer/audience, cultural and brand insights and platform data that will be used to build strategic and creative editorial strategies and plans
  • Build relationships with the platforms to set Hello Sunshine up as a key partner
  • Build plans and utilize tools and social listening to build audience intelligence and personas for audience growth and development  
  • Pinpoint opportunity areas and develop positioning for creative, multi-channel content pillars, channel strategy, ecosystem design, editorial programming, measurement frameworks, high-level paid media recommendations, engagement strategy tactics, and commerce tactics
  • Build and execute strategic ambassador programs and partner engagement tactics to drive new editorial territories and audience growth
  • Guide development of all strategy outputs including social audits and playbooks
  • Collaborate with cross-department team members and effectively partner with the various Hello Sunshine content teams to produce social plans that deliver on their goals and objectives
  • Bring thought-leadership with deep understanding of multi-channel customer experiences, cultural and audience trends, industry news and emerging consumer channels (i.e. AR/VR, NFT, Web3, Metaverse, etc)
  • Develops and lead social strategy for films and TV shows content, overseeing the content planning, strategy, and production of the actual content that drives engagement for our shows
  • Own and drive the social strategy for all our owned and operated channels, entertainment IP, and initiatives ensuring alignment with brand vision and objectives
  • Ideate and execute all branded content across channels and platforms, integrating partner messaging seamlessly into organic content
  • Shape our brand voice on social, ensuring content reflects brand values and maintains high standards
  • Lead the social team daily, setting expectations for quality, creativity, and execution of all social content
  • Develop and execute social strategies for film and TV show social content, driving engagement and audience growth
  • Oversee content planning, production, and scheduling for entertainment IP social content, ensuring alignment with key campaigns and releases
  • Leverage social insights and metrics to create content that resonates with target audiences, driving brand relevance and conversation
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and emerging platforms, ensuring social channels remain innovative and engaging
Requirements
  • 12+ years professional experience with in-depth knowledge of the audience growth, content strategies, and insight analysis for social media platforms (Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest, YouTube, Discord, etc.)
  • Experience managing multi-channel socials programs and cross-platform teams
  • People-first leader with a passion for learning, teaching, and building teams that move at the speed of the consumer
  • Strong copywriting experience is a plus with ability to maintain consistency with brand tone and voice
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay organized in fast paced, early-stage environment—understanding how to iterate quickly on new ideas
  • Experience establishing and managing complex social calendars
  • Experience establishing, tracking, and communicating KPIs to management with actionable recommendations to grow audience - Must have the foresight to adjust on the fly to any positive or negative trends
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to use data to inform decisions
  • Proven track record for being a self-starter, solution-oriented strategic thinker, and creative collaborator
  • Active problem-solver with strong decision-making capability
  • A leader committed to fostering an inclusive culture and embracing diversity of thought and experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Benefits

This position has an estimated base salary range between $175,000 - $220,000
