Role Description

We're looking for a creative and dynamic Video Producer to join the Marketing Content team at Dropbox. As a video producer, you’ll play an instrumental role in conceptualizing, creating, and producing demand-gen videos for our B2B audiences. The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and on-camera presence. You will be responsible for defining and executing high-impact, customer-centric videos across a variety of platforms, from social media and our website to digital ads and events.

This role sits within a cross-functional content engine. You’ll work with our internal marketing teams and agency partners to craft video experiences that connect to business growth objectives. You’ll manage our video production workflows and a content calendar to make sure we deliver the right content at the right time and answer our customer’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Content Strategist to define and develop scalable video formats and topics that maximize audience engagement and revenue contribution targets
  • Create short and long-form videos that align with our business objectives and customer needs using a data-driven, test-and-learn approach
  • Manage video asset requests across the marketing organization at large
  • Direct production teams and agencies in creating a high-volume of relevant, timely, engaging content that builds brand affinity and drives conversion and action within key target segments
  • Oversee the video review process, including collaborating with content strategists, product marketers, designers, and other cross-functional stakeholders on scripts, storyboards, motion graphics, and more
  • Repurpose existing or planned video assets into omnichannel content
  • Collaborate with data analysts and content strategists to track KPIs including engagement and conversion, and draw insights into what’s working and what’s not

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communication, Marketing, or related experience
  • 4+ years of experience in video creation and editing
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of video content
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
  • Excellent scripting and storytelling abilities
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design and attention to detail
  • Please include a link to your portfolio or past work when you apply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comfortable being on camera and able to convey messages in a clear, engaging manner
  • Experience with SaaS digital marketing and content strategy for B2B audiences

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
