The Vice President, Systems Engineering is the POA Lead of M365 and Identity Management and is responsible for the comprehensive management and strategic direction of the Microsoft 365 (M365) platform and Identity Management. This role encompasses operations, architecture, and engineering management, ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing collaboration and identity solutions that meet the evolving needs of the Sony Pictures Entertainment enterprise.

This is a pivotal role within the Enterprise Technology Services portfolio, providing leadership to ensure seamless and secure access to enterprise systems while driving innovative solutions that enhance employee experience and organizational efficiency. The POA Lead of M365 and Identity Management will lead initiatives to optimize service delivery, improve platform capabilities, and foster alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the M365 platform and identity management services, including OKTA and related authentication systems.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of M365 and identity solutions that meet organizational needs for collaboration, communication, and security.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to standardize, optimize, and modernize the M365 environment and identity management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and security standards within the M365 and identity management domains.
  • Manage architecture, engineering, and operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and innovative solutions.
  • Analyze and address platform performance, cost, and scalability considerations while delivering measurable improvements in service levels and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, business units, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration and alignment of M365 and identity solutions with enterprise systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in identity and access management practices, leveraging the latest advancements in security, automation, and cloud technologies.
  • Lead program delivery, including resource planning, financial oversight, and governance, to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies, standards, and best practices for M365 and identity management operations.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and training opportunities to team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in managing complex, cross-functional IT projects, including resource planning and financial oversight.
  • 10+ years of experience implementing and managing compliance, security, and data governance features in M365.
  • Ability to evaluate cost-benefit analysis and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Extensive knowledge of identity management technologies and security protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, MFA).
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for managing M365 environments (e.g., PowerShell, Graph API).
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

The anticipated base salary for this position is $266,000-$315,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
