About InDebted

InDebted provides future-thinking organisations with products and solutions to support overdue consumers through debt. Backed by technology with a human touch, we use machine learning and AI to personalise the collections journey and champion positive customer experiences — all so we can change the world of consumer debt for good.

Founded in Australia, today we're a team of over 300 people living and working around the world. We're rapidly expanding throughout North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. We’re a $50m revenue (and growing) organisation, having recently completed our Series C funding round, backed by leading investors such as Airtree. Now is an exciting time to join the team as we continue to make the experience of debt resolution smoother, and more human.

About This Role

As a Product Manager at InDebted, you’ll be accountable for the effective execution of one segment of the Product Strategy, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Product Strategy, with a particular focus on your product area.

You will build and maintain the Product Roadmap that most-effectively delivers the strategy, by way of deep and continuous engagement with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Roadmap: Define and constantly refine Product Roadmap(s) to deliver on the Product Strategy for one or more Product Development teams, while managing all stakeholders’ competing interests.
  • Planning: Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across the business to:
  • Prioritise and sequence delivery to ensure we’re delivering the strategy in the most effective way.
  • Develop and refine solution designs. Help engineers to clarify and document Product Requirements.
  •  Delivery: Coordinate across departments to ensure that all the moving parts are managed so that the released product features can fulfil their potential.
  • Strategy: Work with R&D Leadership and the Senior Management Team to develop, update, and maintain the Product Strategy.
  • Evangelise: Champion the impact of R&D work by creating, monitoring, and sharing metrics that show the impact of the execution of the Product Strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • You know what Product Management looks like when it’s done well.
  • You are entirely pragmatic enough to find opportunity to create impact in the way that works, and not be focused on what you think Product Management should look like.
  • You can navigate the dynamics of a business in hyper growth mode.
  • You buy into the concept of Minimum Viable Process – we are developing Product Process as we grow, but we are committed to keeping it as lean as possible.
  • You’ve demonstrated an ability to take primary responsibility and full ownership for the delivery of a software project, product or major feature.
  • You can make people feel comfortable even when you’re not giving them exactly what they ask for.
  • You have the ability to inspire and motivate your team. You are comfortable to lead without formal authority, you can influence others and drive decisions.
  • You empathetically collaborate with all stakeholders, seek to understand their challenges and constraints. You’ll work tirelessly to foster and maintain a collaborative working environment.
  • You can use all the tools at your disposal to find answers yourself. A data-informed approach combined with a bias for action will help you in this role.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
