Make Your Mark:
BlackLine is seeking a technically proficient Technical Lead to join our Financial Systems team. This role will report our our Senior Director, Financial Systems, and own the architecture, configuration, and development of our Coupa and NetSuite platforms, supporting core functions across Procurement, AP, Finance, and GL. The ideal candidate brings a blend of business analysis, systems architecture, and hands-on configuration expertise. As we continue to explore AI-driven automation and intelligent workflows, you'll play a key role in shaping how we leverage these capabilities to drive operational efficiency and future-proof our financial systems landscape.This is a hybrid role spanning solution architecture, business analysis, and technical development.
You'll Get To:

  • Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for financial systems enhancements, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Serve as the primary solution architect and technical lead for Coupa and NetSuite, designing scalable, auditable, and high-performing solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Configure and maintain Coupa objects including approval chains, user roles, forms, reports, master data, and integrations.
  • Architect and implement customizations and integrations between Coupa, NetSuite, and other platforms, ensuring seamless and accurate data flows across procurement, finance, and operational systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Procurement, AP, Treasury, Legal, Tax, and Finance teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage production deployments to ensure high-quality deliverables and business adoption.
  • Lead data migration and cleansing activities related to new implementations, global rollouts, and business acquisitions.
  • Document and maintain technical specifications, configuration records, process flows, test scripts, and user training materials to support compliance and change management.
  • Conduct end-user training and change management to drive adoption and ensure successful rollout of new functionality.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and troubleshoot issues via JIRA, including root cause analysis and resolution.


What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of technical experience with Coupa and NetSuite, including system configuration, integration design, and architecture.
  • Proven ability to function as a Solution Architect, Business Analyst, and Developer across financial systems.
  • Deep understanding of Coupa's platform, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Sourcing, Contracts, Invoicing, Expenses, and related modules.
  • Advanced understanding of NetSuite modules and customizations, including SuiteScript, workflows, approval processes, and reporting.
  • Experience creating integrations with middleware platforms (e.g., Workato, Dell Boomi) and building automated workflows between systems.
  • Strong command of SQL and data design concepts to support data integrity and reporting needs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners, translating complex concepts into actionable requirements.
  • Experience supporting IT general controls (ITGCs), SOX compliance, and structured change management processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Salary Range:
USD $141,000.00 - USD $176,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
