What You Will Contribute:
 

Badger Meter is looking to hire a Field Sales Support Specialist in Colorado or Texas. Candidate must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time.

The starting salary range is $66,075- $88,000 annually plus a yearly sales incentive (compensation based on experience).

This position is responsible for providing to customers field technical sales support for Badger Meter’s water metering product portfolio and ensuring issues get resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. You will provide necessary technical training and assistance, system pre-installation planning with the customer, and other special sales support projects and activities as required. This position requires detailed technical knowledge and understanding of Badger Meter’s full utility product line as well as the ability to prioritize and schedule support and training activities.

Job Duties:

  • Provide field technical support for customers.

  • Perform field training for customers either onsite or using internet based methods.

  • Act as the SME on Badger Meter software and sensor (AMI, water quality, and pressure) technology.

  • Perform internal training and testing when new products or significant changes occur in existing products.

  • Provide feedback to corporate training group on training materials such as guides and quick reference cards and to Marketing and Technical Support for purposes of resolving customer issues.

  • Assist Solution Architects with providing updated product and system training for Account Managers, Distribution field sales, and independent distributors.

  • Remain proficient and up–to-date in meter and system technology including software, both with Badger Meter products, and competitive product offerings.

  • Assist with return material authorizations for all equipment with direction from Regional Manager and Solution Architect.

  • Respond to customer requests and questions in a timely manner, communicating effectively to both internal and external customers.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business, or related field preferred

  • 3+ years of related experience in market analysis or distributor management desired

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required

  • Intermediate proficiency with Salesforce or a related software required
