What You'll Do:
We are looking for a temporary professional to work in the capacity as a Strategic Growth specialist. This temporary assignment is for a leave coverage and has an estimated duration from September 4, 2024 through March 3, 2025. The individual will have proven experience in accelerating business growth. Reporting to the VP and Senior Manager of Strategic Growth and Business Development, you will work with senior leaders across the business to drive new business and strategic acquisition growth plans. Responsibilities will include research, development, presentation and execution of business growth plans to deliver long-term profitable growth.

  • Support assessment and recommendation of opportunities that will drive business growth through growth of existing categories and expansion into new markets
  • Act as internal and external cross-functional partner overseeing the operations and management of ongoing clinical research study to supporting high-profile international product launch
  • Provide relevant research and insights for comprehensive business plans in support of long-term profitable growth. Business plan may include recommendations for internal solution development, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, etc as appropriate
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis for corporate & strategic initiatives/partnerships, M&A, joint ventures, geographic expansion, and partnership opportunities
  • Support execution teams related to identification of target companies; valuation of target companies; negotiation of agreements; and oversight of Due Diligence
  • In collaboration with others, support the assessment and business diligence of acquisition targets, new category expansion, or partnerships and evaluation of business risks
  • Support planning, execution, and facilitation of transactions including, integration planning and securing internal and external requirements and approvals
  • Support development of bi-weekly status updates on near-term priorities for Munchkin's senior leadership team, including CEO
  • Other duties may be assigned


Bring It!

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
  • MBA: 2-3+ years of relevant work experience in business development, strategy, brand management, marketing, or VC (non-MBA: 5+ years of relevant experience)
  • CPG industry and/or high-growth startup experience is a plus
  • Passion for growth and ability to influence and motivate others in the achievement of the vision. You love to dream of ways to grow a brand and you can't wait to get others excited and bought in on your ideas to grow the business
  • Proven track record using data and insights to support recommendations that fit corporate strategic requirements and increase shareholder value
  • Ability to balance risk taking with informed judgement. You're a visionary and your ideas are endless, but you can vet each opportunity critically to recommend the best path for the brand
  • Strong analytics, data, planning and execution skills. You're equally fluent with numbers and data and see these as important ways to guide and decide opportunities, but not so overly reliant that you can't use informed intuition to act as a tiebreaker
  • Collaborative team player who works well with others in a fast-paced environment. Experience influencing internal and external cross-functional teams
  • Maturity with strong communication, presentation, and relational skills. You're equally comfortable presenting to senior leadership as you are building a trusted, respectful relationship with founders of a startup
  • Confident humility. Your abilities and experience power your leadership, but you remain grounded and respectful because the way we win is just as important as notching the win
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

Hourly Rate of Pay Range: $40/hr - $48/hr (DOE)

Munchkin offers different hybrid schedule options. The majority of Munchkin’s employees follow a Hybrid Schedule, where an employee works in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remote on Tuesday and Friday.
