The Curation team’s mission is to give Pinners the tools they need to envision & create a life they love by making Pinterest the easiest place to access your favorite ideas, collaborate with others and make your dreams a reality. Our team builds product features that are deeply engaging and uniquely Pinterest, including saving and creating Pins, Boards, and Collages, and inspiring Pinners to create a life they love. We apply cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to facilitate saving, help Pinners discover boards, and bring actionability to boards.


What you’ll do:

  • Apply cutting-edge deep learning and generative AI technologies to solve modeling and ranking problems across different product surfaces.
  • Build end-to-end machine learning solutions, including data pipelines, feature engineering, model optimization and innovation. Research latest industry and academia advancement to improve existing algorithms.
  • Work in a high-impact environment and partner closely with cross functional teams to launch innovative product features and to deliver more personalized product experiences


What we’re looking for:

  • MS/PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience in machine learning/information retrieval.
  • Fluent in at least one of the programming languages such as Python, Java or C++.
  • Fluent in at least one of the deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch.
  • Strong domain knowledge, leadership experience, and demonstrated success at scale in at least one of the following areas: recommender systems, information retrieval, reinforcement learning, representation learning.
  • Experience working on large scale consumer products and production deliverables optimized for cost and operability.
  • Collaborative leadership with cross-org ML and cross-functional teams.
  • Passionate about solving complex, challenging and ambiguous problems.
