About this Role

Fandom's Programmatic Team is hiring! As part of the Global Programmatic Team, the Sr Director Programmatic Monetization will oversee the strategy for driving growth in both Programmatic Indirect, while maintaining relationships with agencies, brands,  trading desks and SSPs.  In addition, this role will evangelize and steward our Programmatic Direct business and partner with our sales team to drive revenue growth.  

The Programmatic team at Fandom oversees our GTM Programmatic Direct strategy, our 1st party data strategy with key data partners, curated marketplaces and open market relationships. 

You will report directly to the VP Global Revenue & Strategy Operations, and work and consult with various business partners across Sales, Operations, Product, and Marketing. You will partner with our Sales Team to increase Programmatic Direct revenue through PG and PMP deal facilitation.  

You Will...

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive programmatic advertising strategy, aligned with overall business goals.
  • Lead a team of programmatic specialists, providing coaching, mentorship, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the programmatic landscape, including DSPs, SSPs, data management platforms (DMPs), and ad exchanges.
  • Deeply understand publisher-side strategies, including Google Ad Manager (GAM) and other programmatic systems, to maximize yield and optimize ad inventory.
  • Negotiate and secure strategic partnerships with leading DSPs, SSPs, and data providers.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate key findings and insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure a holistic approach to programmatic advertising, while focusing on growing Programmatic Direct Revenue. 

You Have...

  • Seeking 10 years of experience, with a focus on programmatic advertising, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue and audience growth.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, ad exchanges, and programmatic buying models.
  • In-depth knowledge of publisher-side programmatic strategies, including Google Ad Manager (GAM) and other programmatic systems.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
