The Senior Director, eCommerce will lead the strategy and execution of Hourglass Cosmetics' digital direct-to-consumer initiatives. This role will work closely with the digital, marketing, technology, and demand planning teams to drive growth and optimize the customer experience across all direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels. The Senior Director will report to the Vice President, Digital & eCommerce and collaborate with various departments to ensure the success of ecommerce campaigns and initiatives.

If you’re a blend of creative and strategic, you’ll thrive in this role. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a test-and-learn thinker. You love using consumer behavior insights to solve interesting ecommerce problems and to improve the user journey. Significant experience working in DTC ecommerce environments, email service providers and/or with external vendors is required, as is a familiarity with Google Analytics (or other analytics platform) to use data-driven insights to inform your marketing strategy. Superior communication skills and confidence in working with multiple stakeholders is essential. 

WHAT YOU DO

  • Establish Hourglass digital DTC as a world class luxury experience
  • Concept, develop and execute comprehensive 360 marketing campaigns for new product launches, site exclusives, and day-to-day marketing for Hourglass' websites and other DTC channels.
  • Partner with the marketing team to architect and develop 360 marketing campaigns for DTC exclusives, promotions, hero products, and new product launches.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to ensure the Global DTC environment reaches monthly forecast targets.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to the executive leadership team on DTC performance and market trends.
  • Oversee ongoing merchandising of Hourglass Cosmetics to optimize product and content features based on sales and market trends.
  • Manage conversion-improving and sales-driving strategies (CRO) to ensure revenue goals are met, including vetting new technologies or platforms on a regular basis
  • Drive growth of email and SMS marketing programs through ongoing optimizations.
  • Analyze data and campaign results in Shopify and Google Analytics to provide ongoing insights and improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 12 years experience with a proven track record of online marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on ecommerce and digital marketing. Previous management of a team required.
  • Must be able to work from Corporate Office Tuesday though Thursday
  • Previous direct-to-consumer experience is highly regarded.
  • Must be extremely organized, detail oriented, and possess the drive to succeed within fast-paced environment
  • Needs to be a creative and analytical thinker and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once, have attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to communicate complex ideas and processes in a simplified manner.
  • Team player with no ego, willing to roll up their sleeves where no task is too large or small
  • Experience working at innovative, fast-paced startups or indie brands is a plus

The expected base salary range for this position is $150,000 – $ 160,000 per year. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
