Job Description:
Sr. Developers, Applications Development for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S (HQ: Chicago, IL). Accountable for building next-level software systems. Independently design and implement efficient data handling systems. Lead application support initiatives. Perform and oversee tasks including programming, writing scripts, calling APIs, and writing complex SQL queries. Implement data stores that support the scalable processing and storage of high-frequency data. Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements and implementation approaches for addressing demand and challenges using expertise of full stack knowledge including hardware, software, end-user tools and other data services, deploy and implement features for high volume, low latency core online environment. Create tools and services enabling end-user productivity and system integrations. Partner with business resources to troubleshoot issues, manage capacity, and plan for the optimization and expansion of environments. Maintain and ensure availability and quality of software developer application team. Mentor junior developers. Technical environment: HTML5, CSS3; Advanced Java, Spring Boot Webservices; JavaScript; Relational Databases, SQL; JQuery; Kafka and Spark Streaming; Linux-based environment, shell scripting, system administration; MapReduce, Spark, Hive; Python, Scala; code repository (SVN, Git); cloud technologies (AWS); Agile.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering or related field plus 4 years of experience as a software engineer or in software development required. Required Skills: At least 2 years of experience directly leading application support initiative; 2 years hands on software development experience with front- and back-end development, web development processes, building web applications, consuming of web services & real-time data stream platforms (Kafka, Spark Streaming); Linux-based environment, including shell scripting and system administration; High-Volume, Low Latency transaction system; analytical skills & demonstrated experience providing alternative solutions to technical problems; experience writing and troubleshooting JavaScript; Advanced Java, Spring Boot Webservices, Relational Databases, SQL programming; developing using HTML5, CSS3; MapReduce, Spark; Python, Scala; Agile; cloud technology; JQuery; experience with code repository (SVN, Git); experience with code review and defect management. Telecommuting permitted. $127,754/yr - $131,250/yr.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is [insert pay range information] annually. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may also be eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
