The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Marketing and Field Communications Specialist who plays a critical role in supporting the NA commercial organization by overseeing internal and field communications as well as the delivery of materials that support commercial sales’ needs and customer interactions. The Marketing and Field Communications Specialist works closely with commercial enablement, field sales, product marketing, customer engagement, and MarCom to assess the efficacy of materials and monitor performance. This role is also responsible for developing internal communication strategies aligned with NA commercial departments, including creating content and deploying across all internal communication channels to drive effective messages and information to the organization. As part of the Global Marketing and Corporate Communications team, you will work independently, yet in a highly collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders.

This is position is eligible for remote.

The Position

  • Main contact for external print production partners, including management of external marketing material catalog, production of materials, management of field requests and budget/billing oversight
  • Oversee all internal communications, including planning, managing, writing and production of a variety of communications that include marketing and commercial updates, regional alerts, etc.
  • Supports management of Marketing "All Calls", including hosting and content development
  • Monitor and deliver usability and efficacy reporting of marketing materials to product marketing and MarCom teams
  • Management of regional commercial intranet page, including content updates and monthly reporting.
  • Create custom digital pages in HighSpot for national tradeshows and provide reporting to MarCom
  • Support operations and HR teams with communications as needed, including content editing and deployment as appropriate
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

The Individual

Required:

  • BS degree in Communications or Marketing
  • 7+ years of experience in internal or external communications
  • Over 5 years' experience in the healthcare or medical device industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Proficient with information technology, especially digital and video communications
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects at once
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills
  • Up to 25% travel, which includes airplane, automobile and overnight hotel stays

Preferred:

  • 3+ years' experience in sales or field marketing
  • Experience in developing communication strategies across multiple channels and mediums
  • Familiarity with the production process of marketing materials
  • Facilitation of group communication processes

The Key Stakeholders

Internal Partners:

  • Partnering with the following internal teams to create, manage and deploy internal communications: Product marketing, MarCom, Customer Engagement, Sales, Operations, Global Marketing and Corporate Communications, Senior Management, Human Resources

External Partners:

  • Manage relationships and projects with external partners: Third-party vendors, agencies

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 60% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 40% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

Physical Demands

Works for lengthy periods of time in sitting or standing position and for lengthy periods of time using a computer.   Position may require travel, up to 10%, travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.  At times, this role demands flexible work hours to meet deadlines, maintain system availability and support business continuity.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $115,000-$125,000 [and is bonus eligible or eligible for incentive compensation.] QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays.
