What you will do:

  • Be the subject matter expert on supply chain design products, processes, and best practices
  • Work together with account managers, account executives and consulting partners to establish and understand the customers’ requirements
  • Present in-depth product presentations & demonstrations (on-site and via the web) tailored to the customers’ requirements
  • Collaborate with sales, product management and professional services
  • Respond to technical and functional customer RFIs (requests for information)
  • Assist with the creation of professional services budgets, statements of work, customer project roadmaps, and benefits/value estimations
  • Work collaboratively with project delivery & implementation teams (internal professional services or external partners) to ensure a smooth transition from pre to post sale
  • Liaise with the product management team to maintain a detailed working knowledge of the software applications and the development roadmaps
  • Understand the technical architecture of our Platform and be able to communicate with IT and CIOs at Customers around our security, architecture, APIs, etc.
  • Support new business opportunities as well as sales cycles with existing customers for upsell, conversion and renewal purposes
  • Represent the company at industry conferences by providing product demonstrations and meeting with prospective buyers along with the sales team
  • Support continuous improvement projects within the Solution Consulting team and beyond

What you will bring to Coupa:

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain design and/or supply chain planning
  • Domain expertise in supply chain modeling plus two of the following: production planning, inventory optimization, transportation optimization, distribution/warehouse planning, supply and demand balancing, and strategic sourcing
  • Experience with optimization algorithms and/or statistical/mathematical tools, solvers, or software
  • Understanding of principles of optimization and simulation (and the differences)
  • Experienced and comfortable presenting to groups, leading discussions, and controlling meetings, including to VP and C-level personas
  • Outstanding verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to articulate clearly and explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to think conceptually on the fly and adjust the message to audience needs
  • Experience applying sales and/or consulting methodologies or processes is a plus
  • Self-motivated and creative; having the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges
  • Adaptive to change and comfortable in a fast-changing technology environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (technical major desirable) or equivalent experience in industrial engineering, operations research, or logistics/supply chain management, (master’s degree a plus)
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and occasionally internationally
  • Must speak English fluently (other language(s) a plus)

The estimated pay range for this role is as follows:


•Base range of $115,000 - $145,000 + eligibility for commission with an estimated pay mix of 72/28


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
