We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Manager, Strategic Pricing Tools & Analytics to lead the development and maintenance of pricing tools, provide in-depth pricing analytics, and act as a pricing consultant to the business. This role will play a key part in optimizing pricing strategies, ensuring efficient deal execution, and supporting data-driven decision-making to drive profitability and competitive positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Tools Development & Maintenance:

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of pricing tools to support business needs.
  • Create and maintain a structured process for recurring updates and maintenance of pricing tools to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Ensure pricing tools are optimized for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Monitor tool performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Partner with Product, Business Operations, Finance, Pricing & Proposals, Operations/Solutioning, and Sales teams to implement pricing tools enhancements and integrations.

Pricing Analytics & Strategy:

  • Lead the development and implementation of analytics to track and understand pricing trends across various fees by business segment.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to standardize and optimize pricing across the organization, ensuring alignment and efficiency.
  • Design and generate comprehensive reports to analyze the rate/volume mix and assess the impact of price increases on business performance.
  • Create dashboards and reporting structures to monitor and manage savings incentives at the deal level, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Analyze market pricing trends, competitive positioning, and customer behavior to identify strategic opportunities for pricing improvements.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies, pinpoint areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance pricing strategies, supporting business objectives and financial goals.

Pricing Consultation & Business Support:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Business Operations Finance, and Product teams to develop pricing frameworks and guidelines.
  • Provide pricing recommendations for complex deals, ensuring profitability and strategic alignment.
  • Support special projects, contributing expertise in pricing tools, analytics, and strategic decision-making across the business.
  • Collaborate with deal analysis to ensure alignment with pricing policies and financial targets.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance deal execution efficiency.
  • Work closely with Legal and Finance teams to ensure compliance with pricing governance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in pricing strategy, analytics, or deal management.
  • Strong experience with pricing tools, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Expertise in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience working with CRM and pricing software (e.g., SFDC, PROS, Vendavo, or similar).
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

The Department Head has the discretion to hire personnel with a
combination of experience and education which may vary from the above listed qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry.
  • Background in managing large datasets and automation of pricing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive pricing transformation initiatives.
