We are seeking an experienced and results-driven SEO Manager to lead and execute strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients while also managing a growing team of SEO professionals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO content, technical SEO, and the evolving SERP landscape.

The SEO Manager role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with internal teams, communicate effectively with clients, analyze performance metrics, and continuously refine SEO tactics to achieve business objectives. As part of the role, you will be responsible for mentoring and leading junior team members, with the long-term goal of building out a robust SEO team under your leadership.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored, performance-based SEO strategies for multiple clients, aligning with their business goals and industry best practices.
  • Responsible for managing client deliverables and developing  ongoing strategies that drive results
  • Perform SEO assessments/audits of clients’ websites, including technical site components, content strategy, and competitor analysis
  • Write SEO-driven content for a variety of industries
  • Work closely with content writing resources (both internally and on the client side) to produce high-quality, research-backed content in line with SEO strategy. 
  • Manage technical SEO optimization, including site speed optimization, mobile friendliness, structured data, crawlability, and indexation.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance for clients using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Provide clients with clear, actionable insights and recommendations to improve their organic search performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, algorithm updates, and SEO best practices to ensure continued success.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders to communicate strategy, performance, and opportunities for growth.
  • Directly manage junior SEO specialists, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the agency.
  • Motivate the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional SEO experience, preferably in a digital marketing agency
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting
  • Strong experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Experience with SEO platforms and tools (e.g. Moz, WebCEO, Ahrefs, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong blog and article-writing skills
  • Familiarity with SEO Content and Technical SEO best practices
  • SEO certifications (Google Analytics, HubSpot, SEMrush, etc.) are a plus
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Magento
  • Excellent client communication and presentation skills
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a passion for digital marketing.

  • The base salary ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 annually depending upon factors including, but not limited to, experience, skill level, education and location.

Office Hours

This role is based out of our Austin office. Our team works on a hybrid basis, working three days a week in the office and two days from home. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
