We’re looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our team to support Engineering programs to support the culture and excellence across the Core Engineering organization.

We’re Looking for a Senior Program Manager to join the Engineering team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

  • Define program scope and objectives: Work with stakeholders to clearly define program goals, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.

  • Manage program risks and issues: Proactively identify and assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues that may arise during program execution.

  • Design and Deliver Talent and Engineering Excellence Programs: Create and implement programs focused on developing engineering skills, fostering leadership potential, and supporting career growth. Examples include:

    • Onboarding Programs: Structure onboarding experiences for new engineering hires, ensuring they gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and connections to succeed.

    • Technical Training Programs: Identify skill gaps and develop or curate training programs (workshops, online courses, etc.) to enhance technical expertise within the engineering organization.

    • Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives: Develop and implement programs to promote diversity and inclusion within the engineering workforce, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.

  • Manage Program Logistics:

    • Needs Assessment: Conduct needs analyses to identify skill gaps, operational efficiencies, and development opportunities within the engineering organization.

    • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to develop engaging and effective program content.

    • Program Delivery: Oversee the delivery of programs, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination of facilitators and participants.

    • Budget Management: Develop and manage program budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

  • Evaluate Program Effectiveness:

    • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data on program participation, feedback, and outcomes to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

    • Reporting and Communication: Communicate program results and insights to stakeholders, highlighting the impact of talent development initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Consistent track record of project and program management skills

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously

  • Ability to influence leaders from a variety of subject areas and seniority levels

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.

  • Willingness to develop new skills and expertise in new subject areas

  • Experience effectively implementing talent initiatives, tools and processes

  • Ability to learn the details of how businesses work and utilizing that information to build strategies and solutions

  • Experience in program management, talent development, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of engineering roles, skills, and career paths.

  • Data analysis and reporting skills.

  • Passion for developing and empowering engineers.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or equivalent years of experience

  • 5+ years work experience in program management 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience working with engineering teams

  • 2+ years experience working with Talent Acquisition teams

  • 2+ years DEI expertise as it relates to recruiting and partnership management

  • 2+ years of project management and program coordination in a matrixed organization

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $168,000-$252,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $160,000-$239,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $143,000-$214,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
