Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Leading the annual IT budget process, including forecasting operational and capital expenditures. This involves close collaboration with IT leadership to understand their needs and translate them into financial plans.
- Cost Management and Optimization: Analyzing IT spending to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements without compromising service delivery. This may involve vendor negotiation, reviewing contracts, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparing regular financial reports for IT leadership and senior management, providing insights into spending trends, variances to budget, and the financial performance of IT initiatives.
- Forecasting: Partner with IT leadership to develop accurate financial forecasts for IT expenses and investments, considering factors like project timelines, technology lifecycles, and market trends.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensuring IT financial processes and reporting comply with internal policies, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Acting as a key liaison between the IT department and Finance, as well as collaborating with other business units to ensure IT investments align with overall business strategy.
- Team Leadership: Managing and developing a team of financial analysts or other finance professionals supporting the IT function.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial principles, and statutory regulations
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager with advanced Microsoft Excel and finance software proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills across all organizational levels
- Leadership skills to guide teams and ensure effective financial processes
- Expertise in employee relationship building, performance management, and driving results
- Professional qualifications (CFA/CPA) are a plus
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,110.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
