Now, about the opportunity: The Media.Monks VP Group Account Director maintains agency relationships in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This is a role for a strategic and growth-minded professional with the industry know-how and rapport to simply get things done. If you’re an experienced go-getter who just gets clients and seeks out new opportunities to create impactful work, then let’s get down to the essentials.


The Day-to-Day:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients whose engagements may include brand strategy, digital content production, experiential, social media, and digital media.
  • Own the client relationships and deliver fiscal health and growth.
  • Understand clients’ business challenges and be able to articulate strategies to address those needs.
  • Build and sustain relationships with senior clients, becoming their trusted marketing partner.
  • Identify new opportunities within current client relationships, chart the path to forge new relationships and design strategies for expansion across our portfolio of services.
  • Collaborate with your subject matter expert colleagues to produce great work.
  • Lead an integrated team through the RFP process for new business engagements.
  • Manage, train and mentor a team of directors responsible for individual pieces of business.
  • Set and manage processes related to account operations including finance, resourcing, forecasting, and client business reporting


What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of increasing levels of responsibility in marketing leadership positions at agencies and/or client organizations.
  • Minimum of two to three years agency experience within the last ten years of employment.
  • Leadership skills that mean others want to work with and for you.
  • Deep understanding of marketing principles and programs with an emphasis on digital marketing across strategy, content creation and media.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing multi-million dollar global accounts.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills that ensure our message is always clear and compelling to our client partners.
  • Demonstrate a comfort level with data, media and analytics.
  • Expertise in social media strategy and management.
  • Multi-channel digital-first client campaign experience.
  • AOR and Ad-hoc team management experience.
  • Regional lead experience.
  • Passion to stay on the pulse of culture and ability to provide a strategic POV.
