Job Summary:

Our quality document control team plays a crucial role in ensuring product excellence and compliance. The quality team meticulously maintains organized records and documents that describe processes, procedures, standards, and outcomes related to product quality. When customers request quality related information, our team promptly provides the necessary documentation. This transparency fosters trust and ensures that customers receive accurate and reliable details about product quality. Focusing on product compliances, ensuring that products meet legal, safety, and environmental standards. This includes adherence to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), requirements, which are increasingly important for sustainable and responsible business practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult Semtech Teams (Business Units, Legal, HR and Procurement) for routine compliance for Customer Specific Inquiries and acquire access to Customer Portals for upload of customer requested surveys (15%)

  • Work with ESG, CDP and CSA Teams for Yearly Data Collection and Upload Surveys to meet deadlines and administrator for Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct, Supplier Surveys and Corporate Surveys. (10%)

  • Play key role in building, testing, documenting and monitoring assigned document data processes, templates and workflows and help to develop and maintain data standards, sustain model processes and documentation. (15%)

  • Participate in review of document data within PLM and ensure adherence to governance policies prior to entry into Agile PLM and ensure the information and management control system is implemented in compliance with the Company standard; and is updated to reflect revisions to those standards.  Maintain awareness of new Interested Parties and/or Program initiatives that may impact the control or distribution of information on the project with the ability to problem solve. (15%)

  • Provide Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) audits of the POR Document Control files and the Prolog electronic Document Control files and assists with policy discussions, including e-mail recording and retention, video recording and retention, etc. (15%)

  • Monitor, report, and evaluate the performance of data governance services on the basis of specific Key Performance Indicators and coordinate and drive the review of continuous improvement initiatives

  • Track and Management Employee Functions: Conflict Minerals (CMRT)/Extended Minerals (EMRT), REACH and RoHS Hazardous Substances, CA Proposition 65, TSCA Restrictions, Human Trafficking and Slavery, Code of Conduct (CoC), EU Waste Framework Directive, Material Declaration and Inter-Process Communication (IPC) (20%)

  • Backup when employees are Out of Office (10%)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 2+ years with Semiconductor product quality or compliance experience.

  • Ability to supervise teams and advise on documentation collection focused on turn-around-time, improvement and innovation

  • Understanding of multiple regulatory environmental product restrictions

  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving

  • Interpersonal Skills: Teamwork with colleagues globally and strong communication skills will be an essential element to achieve our environmental goals

  • Reading Comprehension: You need the ability to read and seek understanding with documentation that is often outside your area of expertise.

  • Writing: You will have to be able to compose documentation that others without expertise in engineering will be able to understand.

  • Safety mindset: You must have a commitment to workplace safety, sustainability, and environmental compliance.

  • Independent worker: A demonstrated ability to follow direction and work independently, as well as, in a team environment and a positive professional attitude will help you excel in this job.

  • Computer skills: Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office products is essential; use of statistical database tools such as JMP will be required.

  • Project management skills: You must have good project management skills and be self-motivated.

  • Ability to travel ~10%.

Desired Qualifications

  • Programming knowledge and experience with Python and/or AI-based scripting for data processing, automation, and document management tasks

  • Experience using programming tools to streamline document control workflows and improve data governance processes

  • Ability to develop and maintain scripts for extracting, transforming, and analyzing quality-related documentation and compliance data 

  • Ability to supervise teams and advise on documentation collection focused on turn-around-time, improvement and innovation

  • Understanding of multiple regulatory environmental product restrictions

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $70,000 - $100,00.  There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
