About the Role
Join Redhorse as a dynamic Qlik Application Developer and be at the forefront of transforming data utilization within the Department of Defense (DoD). In this pivotal role, you will enhance a centralized data environment (CDE), ensuring that auditable financial transaction data is accessible for strategic decision-making. Your contributions will shape a common operating picture for DoD leaders, providing them with the insights needed to tackle complex national security challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Innovate and enhance enterprise-wide Qlik applications and software, driving impactful solutions.
- Lead the planning, development, and deployment of Qlik applications, ensuring alignment with DoD standards.
- Analyze and optimize the interaction between hardware, software, and operational requirements within the Qlik ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for testing and system improvements.
- Create interactive and visually compelling dashboards using advanced data analytics and visualization techniques in Qlik Sense.
- Design intuitive and engaging User Interfaces (UI) for seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into actionable development goals.
- Connect to diverse data sources and perform data transformation using Qlik's scripting capabilities, including calculated fields and expressions.
- Spearhead the creation and management of scheduled jobs and automation within the Qlik environment.
Required Experience/Clearance
- Current Secret security clearance is required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in relational database development using SQL.
- Proficiency in Python libraries for data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy, etc.).
- Mastery of Qlik Sense, including scripting, calculated fields, and expressions for dynamic dashboard creation.
- Experience in creating and managing robust data models.
- Proficiency in ETL processes and integrating disparate data sources.
Desired Experience
- 5+ years of SQL development experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with Advana DataBricks' Gold/Silver/Bronze data zones.
- Experience working in an AWS workspace environment.
- Understanding of data sources, reports, and key stakeholders in a DoD setting.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment (e.g., JIRA).
- Ability to analyze transactional data and derive meaningful insights.
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) data.
- Qlik Sense or DataBricks Certifications
- CSSLP Certification
- Security+ Certification
