As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will own the QA process for a team that develops and releases features for major content releases. You will work with your team of developers to deliver great experiences to Players around the world.
You will be guided by your QA leadership’s test strategy and Riot QA’s test policy to ensure the execution of quality activities at every stage of the software development life cycle. Additionally, you will partner with your team to arrive at more efficient solutions to everyday problems and improve delivery. You will also be tasked to work with other QA professionals, often remotely to get your work completed.
Responsibilities:
- Map your team's work to quality targets based on product goals, while driving visibility on progress
- Test execution, and guide test efforts of a staff of external vendors that you share with other QA professionals
- Hold follow team members accountable for including quality as an essential factor in decision-making
- Conduct quality activities throughout the software development life cycle
- Report the metrics that matter, using data to guide action
- Help call out risks, impact, probability, and help plan mitigation
- Communicate progress of assigned tasks, and blockers to you and your team's work
- Help improve product pipelines and workflows
- You're trusted and expected to be the Voice of the Player
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in designing and executing test plans and managing a defect database, including development & resolution workflows
- Experience reporting on test coverage and defect data
- Able to embed with a team of developers as the independent QA representative
- Clear communication of complex ideas
- Experience leading test efforts remotely
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience, expertise, and in-depth knowledge of Teamfight Tactics gameplay (e.g. high-rank over multiple seasons)
- Strategic thinking and complex problem-solving to help identify what unique scenario TFT players could encounter or exploit
