The QA Automation Lead will be responsible for leading the QA automation efforts within the organization. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing test automation frameworks, mentoring team members, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met for software products.
This is a Hybrid role based out of our Fountain Valley, California hub.
The general target pay range for this position is $101,430 - $126,845 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive QA automation strategy aligned with business goals.
    • Plan, design, and execute automated testing for various software applications.
    • Identify opportunities for automation within the software development lifecycle.
  • Framework Development:
    • Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation frameworks.
    • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous testing.
  • Test Execution and Reporting:
    • Lead the execution of automated test suites and analyze test results.
    • Report and track defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
    • Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting test coverage, defect trends, and automation progress.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring:
    • Lead and mentor a team of QA automation engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the QA team.
    • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing activities, risks, and issues.
    • Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and contribute to the overall improvement of the development process.
  • Tool Selection and Management:
    • Evaluate and recommend appropriate test automation tools and technologies.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in test automation.
    • Manage licenses and resources for test automation tools.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation for at least 3 years.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins,  GitLab.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Relevant certification  are a plus.
