JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Duties:

EHM Productions, Inc. dba TMZ seeks Public Relations Specialist (Social Media Manager) to work with TMZ's News Desk to transform exclusive or breaking news articles into engaging social media videos and static content.  Participate in daily social team meetings, prioritize department tasks and promote a collaborative working environment.  Communicate with social platform representatives to determine updated best practices and stay ahead of new features and trends.  Build social media marketing strategies for in-house and external campaigns.  Spearhead social media promotion of TMZ-produced documentaries and shows, working with internal and external stakeholders (such as liaisons from Fox, Hulu and/or Tubi).  Create social copy variations and a posting schedule to optimize promotional clips' reach.  Sit in on show and documentary taping to determine moments that will create social media conversation.  Post video content across Facebook, Twitter and TikTok to promote TMZ Podcast Network productions.  Work with Marketing team to implement month-long social media campaigns for TMZ Sweepstakes; and track progress in report that is shared with clients.  Conduct social media landscape analysis of key competitors to inform TMZ social media video content strategy; and present findings to TMZ and Fox management.  Determine and post TMZ on TV and TMZ Live videos whose topics can resonate with a global audience, to expand social platforms' international reach.  Post all TMZ-owned videos featured in articles to YouTube.  Tailor video captions to different social platforms to maximize video reach.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing or related field, plus six (6) months of social media management, social media marketing or related experience involving media and global communication.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1)Experience in copywriting and copy editing; 2) Experience in data analysis and reporting; 3) Knowledge of social posting and report tools such as Meta Business Suite; 4) Experience in audience analysis, media trends and community engagement; 5) Experience in multimedia discourse analysis (DA); 6) Experience working with multiple stakeholders including editorial, video production and marketing on short and long-term projects; and 7) Knowledge of graphic design for social media assets using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $80,340.00-88,374.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
