About the role

The Finance Transformation Project Manager will oversee and manage global projects for the Accounting & Reporting organization, ensuring they are successfully completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of finance processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Lead and manage Accounting & Reporting projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.
  • Serve as a process improvement manager for the Finance Analytics Transformation initiative, developing short and long-term solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across reporting and analytics.
  • Coordinate with Accounting & Reporting teams and other Finance, IT, Operations, Product, Engineering, and other departments to gather requirements, define project objectives, and ensure successful project design, planning, and execution.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Bring a consultative approach to develop root cause and impact analysis, and drive execution of key performance metrics to measure the impact of implemented process changes.
  • Facilitate faster adoption of system solutions by partnering with the Finace and Accounting teams leveraging iterative/agile approaches for build, test and deployment. Maintain project cadence by delivering/overseeing the delivery of project plans, analysis, deliverables, trackers, and other key documents.
  • Develop project charters and project governance models to prioritize and resolve issues.
  • Focus on accounting systems implementation and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts, ensuring that developed and implemented solutions meet user expectations and business requirements.
  • Leverage technology to improve processes, including the incorporation of automation, and measure improvements for data-driven accountability.
  • Prepare Accounting process flows, and process improvements.
  • Design/facilitate training sessions and contribute to planning and coordination for Transformation Leadership Team Meetings and project gatherings.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2 set days a week.

As the Project Manager - Finance Transformation you will report to the VP of Finance. This is a 6 Month contract position and is based in our Culver City office.

About You

    • 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience in FP&A, Accounting, or Finance Operations
    • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
    • Experience working with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) in a Finance capacity is preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to improve current state practices, own end-to-end processes, and map and optimize existing processes.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) 
    • High technological aptitude: advanced Excel proficiency; experience with SQL, R, Python, VBA, SAP BPC, SAC, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc. is a plus.
    • Entertainment or media experience is a plus.
    • Consulting experience is a plus

About the Team

The Accounting and Reporting organization consists of Global Business Services, Technical Accounting & Compliance, and Global Accounting; and collaborates with  FP&A, Data Insights, Procurement, Strategy, IT, Product, Engineering, etc. This role will be a key voice for accounting functions when partnering across Crunchyroll’s global businesses, spanning Streaming services, eCommerce, video games, theatrical releases, consumer products, publishing, live events, and more.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
