Are you passionate about developing cutting-edge animation pipelines and optimizing workflows for artists? Titmouse is looking for a Pipeline Technical Director to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing our animation pipeline using software applications, scripts, and automation. You’ll work closely with our production teams to ensure smooth operations and solve technical challenges in a fast-paced, creative environment.

What You'll Do
- Identify and develop improvements for the animation production pipeline.
- Create and enhance pipeline tools to support Layout, Animation, Compositing and Editorial teams.
- Provide hands-on pipeline support and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ensure all tools and software are well-documented and user-friendly, following our documentation standards.
- Work with third-party software vendors to ensure smooth integration with our pipeline.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and implement AI-driven tools where applicable.
- Research and integrate machine learning techniques to enhance production workflows.
- Develop, test, and maintain custom software tools and components.
- Collaborate with department leads and technical directors to improve tools and workflows.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role within an animation or VFX studio.
- Strong software development and pipeline engineering skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools like Animate, After Effects, Photoshop, Harmony, Storyboard Pro, Premiere, and FileMaker Pro.
- Expertise in scripting APIs such as Python, MEL/Maya, Katana, After Effects, etc.
- Experience with FileMaker scripting and managing FileMaker configurations via web UI.
- Experience with data automation tools, such as Airtable, Make.com or Zapier.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of render farm management and distributed computing.
- Strong grasp of animation production processes and artist workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-driven environment.
- Experience with AI/ML tools for animation workflows would be a plus!
