Joining King's Hawaiian makes you part of our `ohana (family). We are a family-owned business for over seventy years, respecting our roots while thinking about our future as we continue to grow and care for our customers and the communities we serve. Our `ohana members build an environment of inclusivity as they freely collaborate, pursue learning through curiosity, and explore innovation as critical thinkers. Beyond that, we are also passionate about supporting the long-term health and well-being of our employees and their families. If you're excited to rise with our team, come and join our `ohana!
Who Are We?
Irresistible Foods Group (IFG) was established in September 2021 as the parent company to King's Hawaiian, Grillo's Pickles, Shaka Tea, and Innovation Bakers. IFG is 100% family-owned-and-operated and is committed to authentically stewarding Irresistible brands into the future as the Taira family has with King's Hawaiian for more than 70 years.
Our mission and purpose is "We create Irresistibility. Then we share it". We believe in irresistibility not just in our products, but in our values, 'ohana (family), and roots. We believe the core of our irresistibility is our values:
▪Treat others with dignity - respect is unconditional. We have high-performance heads + high-performance hearts and never lose sight that we are all part of the same 'Ohana.
▪Be curious and never stop learning. We approach conversations, situations, and problems with open minds and passionately seek to be better tomorrow than we are today.
▪Dream big and get stuff done. Irresistibility is not an accident - we don't wait for the future to come to us; we actively create it.
▪Bring your own flavor. We care about where you come from and how you see the world; our shared values are our bond, but our uniqueness is what makes us Irresistible.
These values are not only what drive us but also what we seek in all members at all levels in IFG as well as our operating companies (OPCOS).
IFG is not a private equity or venture capital firm. We are owner-friendly investors and/or acquirers focused on creating long-term value for our brands with no intent to ever sell the company. We support our OPCOS with capital allocation (cash & capabilities), strategic guidance, and operational governance. It is through this commitment to continuously create value that we strive to be the most trusted, influential, and value-creating family of authentic food & beverage brands. These brands are beloved by their
consumers for their irresistible products and are uniquely connected through their shared values and sold in the perimeter (of grocery stores).
Who Are You?
You are an authentic, passionate, strategic problem solver who is highly motivated by the opportunity to play a significant role in taking the growth of a fast-growing company to the next level. You are a thinker, builder, and an inspirer, not a manager. You see problems to be solved as more than problems - you see them as opportunities to be realized. Your associates trust you and would use words like "collaborative" and "creative" to describe you. They might even go so far as to say that they are unusually comfortable with you swimming (a bit) in their lane because you add so much value when you do, and you always do it respectfully. You model behaviors and activities that set a standard for those around you. You care much more about getting the right things done than about who gets the credit for doing them. You are a "get stuff done" person who gets things done so fast, efficiently, and effectively that it usually surprises those around you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
