Job Summary:

As a Paid Social Content Producer (Video), you’ll play a crucial role within our Creative Production team, producing performance-driven content that gets clicks and drives engagement and purchases on paid and organic social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, and Youtube). You’ll function as a creative and a performance marketing professional. You’ll work in a high-volume, fast-paced video testing environment and you will develop innovative creative concepts, write persuasive copy, produce, shoot, and star (when needed) in “thumb-stopping” paid media ads. These videos will be shot on iPhone and edited to be social-first content.

This role emphasizes speed, testing and analyzing each ad's performance. Thus, you’ll collaborate closely with our creative team and growth marketing team to optimize content based on creative analytics and data-driven insights. You will also experiment with new approaches based on current social media trends and viral moments.

You must be a highly creative visual thinker, with a keen eye for design and a pulse on social media trends, who can generate engaging content ideas and follow them through to completion.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will be self-sufficient and resourceful to produce content shoots (gathering creative references, creating decks, hiring talent, planning shotlists/schedules, sourcing props and styling, etc.)
  • Film content for Tiktok and Instagram in your home and in studio, and be comfortable starring in the content
  • Perform consumer, product, trend, and competitor research using our analytics platforms
  • Ensure visuals match performance objectives and align with our brand style guides
  • Collaborate with creative cross-functional teams (Graphic Design, Studio Production, Influencer, etc) and our Growth Video Editor
  • Identify top-performing concepts using creative analysis
  • This position is a hybrid role with 3 days in our production studio and/or on location shoots

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • This role requires someone that lives and breathes social media content and knows the latest TikTok trends, sounds, music, influencers, Instagram, etc.
  • Experience with paid social content (needs to be product-focused content) professionally
  • This position requires someone focused on producing engaging content for social media (we are not looking for traditional DPs, directors or graphic designers)
  • Production background is key - putting together shoots, styling, working with influencers if needed, coordinating all this on their own
  • Background at a lifestyle brand, beauty brand, fashion, or DTC
  • Expertise editing in social platforms directly (TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
  • Comfortable behind the camera (directing talent) as well as in front of the camera
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Strong project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work comfortably across Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • High level of taste and an eye for design
  • Experience working with influencers and/or influencer marketing campaigns

Preferred:

  • Interest in interior design and home décor
  • Experience in casting, location scouting, location searching
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere
  • Graphic design or copy background

Compensation:

  • $40/hour

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
