We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv; and film distribution labels IFC Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Manager, Partner Management to join our partner management team based in our Santa Monica office.

JOB SUMMARY 

The Manager, Partner Management is a key member of the distribution team focused on growing AMCN subscription & streaming services, supporting linear network performance, and expanding content distribution opportunities through distribution partnerships. The Distribution team is part of the larger AMCN Commercial Revenue organization.  

 

The Manager will work cross-functionally to execute partner initiatives that are directly tied to the strategic revenue goals of the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how to synthesize paid and partner marketing to support performance goals. A background in linear and streaming media is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Project manage 360-degree initiatives with affiliates, DTC, Digital and enterprise partners from conceptual stage through execution and analysis 
  • Serve as the primary day-day-to contact with external distribution clients; build and maintain strong working relationships 
  • Act as a centralized internal destination for distribution opportunities by aligning with key stakeholders (deal, marketing, content strategy, finance, product teams) and communicating partner strategy 
  • Understand distribution deal cycles on assigned accounts; support deal teams by preparing resource materials and account overviews 
  • Proactively identify, assess, and present business opportunities 
  • Support the VP(s) and Director(s) in development and implementation of partner-focused revenue strategies and overall account maintenance, including projects such as: 
  • Presentation development  
  • Preparation and presentation of programming opportunities to partners 
  • Research insights and tracking 
  • Account summaries and campaign performance reviews  
  • Management and optimization of contractual media and marketing budgets 
  • Creative asset trafficking  
  • Oversight and communication of partner creative schedules, timelines, deadlines 

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred) 

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications 
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience, ideally in the media industry 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management and directly with clients 
  • Well organized and detail oriented 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
