Company Description

As the Trade Marketing Manager, Large Format, you will be a key member of the Red Bull North America (RBNA) Sales and Trade Marketing team calling on Grocery retailers such as Kroger, Albertson’s, Meijer, and Publix. You will lead the development and implementation of Point of Sale (POS) solutions, from concept to delivery, for assigned accounts. You must understand the retail environment to develop merchandising solutions, have an eye on trends and the future of in-store marketing, a desire to understand shoppers, and above all else, the drive to win versus competition and look like #1 in-store.

With a focus on Grocery retailers within the Large Format channel, you will oversee and project manage the POS development for assigned customers.  You will also support as the subject matter expert of in-store merchandising solutions. You will report to the Senior Manager of Trade Marketing, Large Format and be located in Santa Monica, California.

Job Description

OWN RETAIL VISIBILITY STRATEGY

Develop and implement Trade Marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives and enhance brand presence in the marketplace

Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned accounts’ POS and merchandising plans

Develop POS solutions that serve the needs of assigned customers, complement shopper behavior and ensure Red Bull looks like #1 in store

Support the annual Large Format business plan process with strategy and guidelines on effective POS solutions to achieve commercial and brand objectives

Oversee custom POS requests for assigned accounts to ensure alignment with RBNA strategy, budget, and brand standards

DEVELOP NEW POS INNOVATIONS

Lead the development of new POS innovations collaborating with cross functional partners in Brand, Sales, Global Trade Marketing, Finance, and our vendor network

Work with external creative agencies and suppliers for the development, sampling, and final delivery of innovative POS tools

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration on promotional activities and merchandising efforts

Proactively identify new industry technical innovations & prioritize testing based on business impact and customer needs

Stay up to date on industry trend analysis, competitive activity, and changing shopper behaviors through research, industry publications, events, insight reports, and supplier relationships

Identify sustainable materials and practices in POS development to align with global sustainability goals

Responsible for new POS item profiling across internal resources and socialization within the business

Strengthen the Look of Success and retail visibility strategy across assigned projects and accounts

Understand and implement RBNA marketing strategies to enhance retail presence, compliance, and POS effectiveness

Drive Trade Marketing strategies through regular market visits, customer/sales team meetings and Distribution Partner ride-alongs

Proactively seek opportunities to drive innovation and optimization of Red Bull’s brand presence at retail

Identify growth opportunities and create action plans for key accounts

Develop and distribute Trade Marketing resources and tools

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Own project tasks, timelines, updates, and improve workflows within development process

Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders including US Key Account Sales Teams, Global Trade Marketing, US Product, US Shopper Marketing & US Operations, to deliver projects on-time and on-budget

Leverage data and insights to inform POS projects, ensuring decisions align with customer and channel-specific needs

Evaluate the effectiveness of the trade marketing activities and report on the results and insights

Identify opportunities to improve project workflows and refine processes

Responsible for budget and spend management

Qualifications

4+ years of consumer goods industry experience with exposure to retailers required

Project management experience

Conceptual thinking and design critiquing skills

Technical Knowledge of POS Production (Print, Permanent, Temporary)

Experience with design software (Adobe Suite, CAD, etc.) preferred

Experience working with Agencies or Production suppliers

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

Must be fluent in English, additional languages an advantage

Additional Information

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $128,000 + cash incentives

Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience.

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
