About the Role

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will own, lead, and manage many of our IT projects working closely with cross-functional business stakeholders and partners overseeing multiple IT projects simultaneously. The primary goal is successful execution of IT projects in alignment with organizational, business, and IT objectives with adherence to budget and timeline.

Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Oversee and manage multiple IT projects across diverse functional areas, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives using Project Management best practices, technology, and tools.
  • Own the full-cycle project management life cycle from concept to post-deployment support including but not limited to scope management, business requirements, impact assessment, integrations, process mapping and documentation, risk management, testing, and deployment maintaining GxP, SOX, and other regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Manage relationships with multiple software products and cloud service providers, vendors, and partners to meet business objectives effectively and monitor vendor invoicing against the project deliverables
  • Establish and bring project and program management best practices with policies, governance and standardization across all projects and monitoring the successful completion of the projects through scorecards and other KPIs
  • Work with business stakeholders, IT and finance teams with new project intakes, prioritization based on the business value, ROI and justification
  • Work with IT and other department leaders to develop, manage, and monitor the IT projects budgets and report on IT spending vs the budget periodically
  • Lead software and vendor selection process for new business capabilities through RFPs and once the vendor is finalized, work with legal team and business stakeholders with project initiation documentation such as NDA, MSA, SOW, change orders etc.
  • Provide insights and Subject Matter Expertise to IT leadership on IT program and project portfolio management and on alignment with company objectives.
  • Act as an SME or BSA for a new project when needed

Factors for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of experience in Information Technology and 6+ years of experience in leading and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master, or similar certification is a plus.
  • Strong experience in IT program and project management preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry with a proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects with internal and external stakeholders utilizing project management and SDLC best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Technology experience with Cloud-based tools and platforms, data and system integration, analytics and dashboards, data warehouse, and corporate business systems.
  • Experience in using Project Management and IT service management tools such as Microsoft Projects, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Strong experience in managing vendors from RFP and project initiation to deployment and hypercare holding them accountable to deliver the project in the utmost quality within the defined budget and time.
  • Willingness to get into the technical aspects of IT projects with attention to details.
  • Experience in working with GxP, SOX, and other regulatory and compliance requirements and audits in the pharmaceutical/healthcare/bioscience sector is a must.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced organization with conflicting priorities and having the ability to prioritize tasks and projects based on the criticality and risks while fostering collaboration across the organization.

  • This position reports directly to our Assoc Dir, IT Project & Program Mgmt. Some travel may be required – up to 5%

At Tarsus, we understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is $131,200 - $183,800 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
