COMPENSATION:

  • $120,000 - $160,000 depending on experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

The Lead Product Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our products, ensuring they are both intuitive and effective. This role not only involves hands-on design work but also leading and mentoring a team of designers. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to align design strategies with business goals while advocating for best-in-class user experiences.

  • Lead and mentor a team of product designers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features/interfaces, maximizing functionality, and optimizing user experience.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to ensure design plans align with user needs and business goals.
  • Develop design frameworks and processes to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts.
  • Design high-fidelity UI components and oversee usability testing to refine and improve user experiences.
  • Establish and maintain design systems that adhere to brand guidelines, ensuring a cohesive visual identity.
  • Stay current with industry trends, UX best practices, and emerging technologies, applying them to enhance design strategies.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles, championing the value of design across the organization.
  • Oversee cross-team collaboration to ensure seamless integration of design across product development lifecycles.
  • Follow all policies and procedures for the department and Company, including personnel policies and expectations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of leading design initiatives and delivering user-centered solutions.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, including mentoring, managing, and scaling design teams.
  • Strong ability to bridge strategic vision with practical execution, translating high-level business goals into impactful design solutions.
  • Expertise in user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven decision-making to enhance product experiences.
  • Deep understanding of interaction design principles, design systems, and responsive UI/UX best practices across multiple platforms.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate design challenges and proactively propose solutions.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to present and advocate for design decisions at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for staying ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices in UX and product design.

Job Type: Full-time Exempt

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday 
Location: Irvine, CA
