Join Mission Cloud as an IT Intern! You will learn how IT works at a fully remote cloud computing company and receive on the job training to work as part of an internal IT team. You will help our team access the hardware and software they need to do their jobs, and you will learn how our different business systems interact.


At the start of your internship, you will learn how to work in Mission Cloud’s internal ticketing system and provide great customer service to our team. You will be assessed on your ability to learn new skills and complete general support tasks. At the end of your internship, you will be highly proficient in Jira Service Management, Okta, and Google Workspace.


You will report to the Director, IT. Interns work up to 30 hours a week, M-F, for $25/hour.


This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily IT support to Mission Cloud teammates through phone, Slack, Zoom, and email
  • Manage and triage tickets via Jira Service Management internal ticketing system
  • Procure laptops, monitors, and other computer accessories needed for Mission Cloud team member’s home offices; record serial numbers and asset tags for equipment tracking
  • Support SaaS cloud applications for Mission Cloud team, including Slack, Google Workspace, Okta, etc.
  • Participate in onboarding of new teammates and contractors
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Understand the basics of Windows and Mac support
  • Support auditing Mission SaaS environment

Requirements

  • Experience working in a Service Desk environment
  • Experience working in ticketing systems 
  • Experience working in level 1 support directly with customers
  • Knowledge of Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or related field
  • Desire to constantly improve experiences and processes through technology
  • Interest in IT support, customer service, and continuous improvement
  • Desire to solve and tackle tough problems
  • Ability to ask questions and look to understand the bigger picture
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time
  • Excited to learn about new technology
  • Interest in AWS and Cloud technologies
