This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: Two days in-office.

As a Privacy Program Senior Manager, you’ll support BHI’s Enterprise Privacy Program by working with brand teams to strengthen risk management and explore new opportunities. You’ll help design consistent reporting for leadership review, set up risk escalation processes, and collaborate across departments to keep privacy efforts aligned and efficient. This role also involves supporting privacy awareness activities, managing vendors and budgets, and ensuring the privacy team is well-prepared to meet BHI’s goals.
 

In this role you will get to:

  • Enterprise Privacy Program: Lead and manage BHI’s Enterprise Privacy Program, partnering with brand functions to develop centralized risk management and identify new growth opportunities.

  • Program Oversight: Design and implement an independent reporting framework to standardize outcomes for Audit Committee review.

  • Risk Management: Establish and operationalize a risk escalation governance mechanism, anticipating and communicating potential risks effectively.

  • Privacy Standards & Innovation: Develop and refine standards, frameworks, and processes to support ongoing privacy risk management and drive program efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Privacy Awareness - Partner closely with Security and Data Governance teams to align program priorities and improve reporting capabilities, while also leading privacy-focused training and awareness initiatives, such as Data Protection Week and Privacy offsites.

  • Leadership Reporting: Oversee reporting operations for senior BHI leadership, Risk Committee, Board of Directors, and Audit Committee, ensuring continuous improvement.

  • Vendor Management & Budgeting: Manage external service providers and department budget, including cross-brand charges.

  • Team Development: Oversee and guide direct reports, ensuring team growth and performance alignment.

  • Internal Audit Partnership: Collaborate with Internal Audit to support enterprise-wide objectives.

What you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in related fields is required, as well as a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Privacy and Risk Management Expertise: Deep understanding of privacy frameworks, programmatic risk management, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Strategic Program Development: Proven experience in designing and executing privacy and data protection programs that align with enterprise risk appetite and business goals.

  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex privacy concepts to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

  • Policy and Framework Development: Skilled in creating and implementing privacy policies, standards, and frameworks that support a proactive risk management approach.

  • Collaboration and Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with Security, Data Governance, and Internal Audit teams, to align priorities and optimize program outcomes. Highly organized, with a talent for managing multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Certifications: CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, CISSP, or similar professional certification preferred.

There are a variety of job related factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $153,000-$187,000.
