What We Need:

We are looking for a Game Capture Artist who is passionate about games, patient, and an excellent team player. Capturing quality footage and screenshots takes time and coordination, as well as a bit of technical savvy. Along with these premium qualities, they will work hand in hand with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers and the Capture Team Managers where professional and transparent communication is paramount to our success.

An ideal candidate would have 2+ years’ experience working in the AAA games industry in an artistic and/or technical capacity, and possess experience in capturing gameplay for games.

What You Will Do:

The Game Capture Artist is responsible for playing 2K’s biggest upcoming AAA games and capturing screenshots and video footage for marketing purposes. They will collaborate with other members of the team to stage the action to effectively demonstrate the gameplay, drama, and beauty of the game.

  • Participate in large multiplayer game capture sessions including choreographed large scale multiplayer scenarios
  • Capture both screenshots and video footage to project specifications
  • Consistently produce high quality assets that authentically represents the product
  • Technical troubleshooting of in-development games
  • Take leadership on individual capture projects
  • Communicate effectively with capture team leads, video editors, designers, creative directors, copywriters, and producers across creative and brand marketing teams
  • Proficient in receiving critical feedback and direction

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:

We are looking for experienced gamers with previous capture experience who show great skill for creating high quality video and image assets. Someone with an incredible eye for composition and visual storytelling is what we are after. Understanding photography, cinematography, and any skills with creative applications and gameplay capture technology is highly desired. We also want someone who works well within a team, and is comfortable in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment.
Requirements

  • Highly developed understanding of art, composition, light, color, and action
  • Skilled in photography and cinematography
  • Technically proficient with PCs and gaming consoles
  • Experienced with a variety of genres and platforms, from FPS to RPG, from PC to Nintendo Switch, and everything in between
  • Proficiency with controller use at FPS titles
  • Experienced with video capture hardware/software - Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere and Photoshop, Shoguns, OBS experience is a plus
  • Able to receive direction, both in large multiplayer shoots and on individual projects
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Light video editing using Adobe Suites
  • Retouch imagery as necessary

Qualifications

  • 2+ years previous game capture experience for AAA titles
  • High School diploma or equivalent

The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, California at the start of employment is expected to be between $61,500 and $95,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
