Fingerprint empowers developers to stop online fraud at the source.

We work on turning radical new ideas in the fraud detection space into reality. Our products are developer-focused and our clients range from solo developers to publicly traded companies. We are a globally dispersed, 100% remote company with a strong open-source focus. Our flagship open-source project is FingerprintJS (20K stars on GitHub).

We have raised $77M and are backed by Craft Ventures (previously invested in Tesla, Facebook, Airbnb ), Nexus Venture Partners (previously invested in Postman, Apollo.io, MinIO, Druva) and Uncorrelated Ventures (previously invested in Redis, Rollbar & Gradle).

We have noticed a rise in recruiting impersonations across the industry, where scammers attempt to access candidates' personal and financial information through fake interviews and offers. All Fingerprint recruiting email communications will always come from the @fingerprint.com domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Fingerprint via other sources should be ignored.

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our Growth team to play a critical role in driving product-led growth through engineering initiatives. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists to build, iterate, and scale experiments that improve user activation, retention, and conversion.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications and growth experiments that enhance onboarding, adoption, and user engagement.
  • Build and optimize experiment-driven features like A/B tests, user flows, and UI/UX changes to maximize signups, activation rates, and conversions.
  • Develop and maintain our self-serve user experience, working on our dashboard, onboarding flows, pricing pages, and checkout systems.
  • Collaborate with the Growth, Product, and Data teams to analyze experiment results and iterate based on findings.
  • Implement and optimize tracking, analytics, and logging to ensure we have clear visibility into user behavior.
  • Ensure a seamless integration between frontend and backend services, working across our stack to ship end-to-end features efficiently.
  • Work on backend systems to improve API efficiency, authentication, and data processing to support scaling self-serve growth.
  • Actively contribute to improving engineering best practices, testing, and performance optimization.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, with a strong foundation in both frontend and backend development.
  • Experience working with React, TypeScript, and Node.js (or similar modern frontend and backend frameworks).
  • Experience designing and running experiments (A/B testing, feature flags, user cohorts) using Amplitude, PostHog, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Stripe or other payment platforms for checkout and billing improvements.
  • Proficiency in databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of product growth metrics (activation rate, conversion rate, retention, etc.) and experience using data to drive engineering decisions.
  • Proficiency in working cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to execute growth initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • BS Computer Science or similar degree.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience running Amplitude Experiments preferred.
  • Prior Growth team experience.
  • Knowledge of server-side rendering and modern web performance optimizations.
  • Experience working on developer-focused or API-first products.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

$125-175k OTE For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Offers vary depending on, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certifications/licenses, skills, training, and market conditions.

Due to regulatory and security reasons, there’s a small number of countries where we cannot have Fingerprint teammates based. Additionally, because Fingerprint is an all-remote company and people can join our workforce from almost any country, we do not sponsor visas. Fingerprint teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location.

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment for everyone. We embrace and celebrate the unique experiences, perspectives and cultural backgrounds that each employee brings to our workplace. Fingerprint strives to foster an environment where our employees feel respected, valued and empowered, and our team members are at the forefront in helping us promote and sustain an inclusive workplace. We highly encourage people from underrepresented groups in tech to apply.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
