About the Role 

Virtual CIOs engage with 1Path’s clients to develop IT strategies, direct initiatives, and achieve business outcomes through becoming trusted advisors. By providing our clients with IT guidance, we help them realize their digital transformation opportunities. Job Description 

  • Work closely with a set of assigned clients to understand their business goals and align a technology strategy, leveraging 1Path solutions as well as identifying partner solutions to fulfill their needs.
  • Work closely with our revenue team to assist in driving revenue with existing and prospective clients.
  • Build IT roadmaps and budget estimates for clients, presenting them during business reviews with the client executive team, conveying value in relation to their business goals.
  • Demonstrate service and revenue execution of monthly vCIO services, hitting revenue targets.
  • Continuously deliver value to clients by way of roadmap presentations, reports, and face-to-face meetings (remote or onsite).
  • Assess client IT and security policies & procedures relative to their business and compliance requirements.
  • Assist clients understand budget requirements relative to maintaining reliability and compliance.
  • Evaluate client technology use, costs and needs, recommending appropriate solutions to bridge the gap.
  • Create and/or update clients’ IT policy and procedure documents to meet their objectives.

  • Due to the changing nature of the technology industry and the managed services business, the requirements for this position may change without notice.  Additional responsibilities, tasks and assignments may be required.

  

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science or IT Management.
  • MBA is beneficial.

 

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Desired but not required.  

  • ITIL Foundation: Information Technology Infrastructure Library
  • CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • CISM: Certified Security Manager
  • CITP: Certified Information Technology Professional
  • PMP: Project Management Professional


Knowledge/Experience:

Technologies:

  • Knowledge of current AI trends and solutions.
  • Knowledge of cyber security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, PCI, HIPAA, CMMC, ITAR, FINRA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft solutions including M365, Azure, Windows Server, Defender, Intune, SQL Server, Exchange, PowerBI, Power Platform, etc.
  • Knowledge of network solutions including Cisco and Cisco Meraki, HPe, Palo Alto, SonicWall, Fortinet.
  • Knowledge of industry leading Cybersecurity solutions from vendors including Sentinel One, Crowdstrike, Duo, Cisco Umbrella, OpenText, One Identity, Knowbe4, Webroot, ThreatLocker, Rapid7, etc.
  • Knowledge of D.R. solutions including Veeam, Azure backup and site recovery.


Professional:

  • Executive presence – comfortable presenting to front line people as well as in the Board room.
  • 10+ years’ experience overseeing and being directly accountable for technology programs in an IT Management position (CIO/CTO/IT director) including Cyber security, Public Cloud (Microsoft Azure), LAN/WAN/WiFi networks, Server and datacenter infrastructure, Server and desktop operating systems, remote management tools, network performance tools, patch management tools, vulnerability management, patch management, identity management, incident management, CMDB, inventory management, cost management, knowledge management, reporting to executive leadership (CEO/COO/CIO).
  • Experience consulting at a MSP or consulting firm in the area of IT for mid-market clients.
  • Experience managing or consulting in the areas of data analytics, automation, remote workforce productivity, ETL, using solutions such as Power Automate, PowerBI, etc.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support 1Path executive team (< 25%).
