FINANCE SPECIALISTWHAT YOU’LL DO

OPTIMIZE | As our Finance Specialist, you are responsible for optimizing the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Cash flow is the priority for our department. Being able to accurately and timely collect receivables and pay vendors appropriately is the number one way you can impact our cash flow. Revenue is vanity. Profit is sanity. Cash is king.


EMPOWER | There will be other tasks outside of AR/AP that you will take on as you grow into the position. You have the freedom to take on various tasks and projects and ensure that this position does not feel mundane but rather contributes as a support system to all facets of CTC. You will help add structure and transparency and continue to help build trust and clarity in the teams and the customers we serve.


SUPPORT | You will be a critical contributing member of the Finance Department at CTC, supporting the Director of Finance, and our customers and growth teams. The Finance Department exists to provide support to all areas of our business, and your role is to make all these areas feel the support they truly need. As such, regular communication about the current status of accounts to appropriate team members is crucial.

What Success Looks Like

SUCCESS IN YOUR FIRST DAY TO DAY LOOKS LIKE

  • Ensuring timely generation and payment of invoices and bills.
  • Knowing what AR and AP require your attention, based on cash flow targets, and the best way to communicate and resolve those transactions with customers and vendors.
  • Updating Quickbooks and the Cash Flow Forecast with new invoices and bills, so the Finance Department remains informed with accurate information.
  • Proactively communicating with customers, the Director of Finance, and other departments to address questions or concerns that would impact cash flow.

SUCCESS IN YOUR FIRST THREE TO SIX MONTH LOOKS LIKE

  • Optimize cash flow through AR and AP. 
  • Building relationships with all customers and vendors to ensure timely payments. 
  • Improving payment terms where you are able.
  • Working with the Director of Finance to consistently and accurately update the Cash Flow Forecast.
  • Tracking and minimizing overdue Accounts Receivable forecast.
  • Manage Accounts Payable alongside the Director of Finance.
  • Own all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks.

  • You will initially not have any direct reports or management responsibilities

ORIENTATION

  • You will regularly interact with customers and vendors, primarily through email, as well as colleagues from every department at CTC.

SALARY RANGE

  • $60,000 - $70,000 base salary, annually
    • This is prior to any benefits (see the “ABOUT US” Section for additional details
  • Bonus Structure | 10% of base salary
