About the role: 

We're seeking an experienced communications strategist to lead executive digital presence and thought leadership programs for our organization's senior leadership. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of executive communications expertise and digital strategy acumen, with a proven track record of elevating C-suite leaders' professional narratives across digital platforms. In this role, you will shape and execute sophisticated communication strategies that position executives as industry thought leaders while maintaining their authentic voice and professional standing. You'll partner closely with senior stakeholders to translate complex business initiatives into compelling content, lead strategic narrative development, and drive meaningful engagement through digital channels. While hands-on content development and strategy execution are key components, you'll also provide leadership and direction to a team of social media managers handling various executive portfolios. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring consistency and excellence across multiple executive voices, while maintaining distinct positioning for each leader. As a strategic specialist, you'll orchestrate a comprehensive social media approach that aligns various executive voices with broader business objectives, ensuring coherent narrative threads while preserving individual authentic perspectives. This position requires exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics while delivering measurable impact through digital communications.

 What you will be doing: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive executive communication strategies across digital channels 
  • Create strategic narratives that align with business objectives and industry thought leadership  
  • Guide executive positioning through data-driven insights and market analysis  
  • Transform complex business concepts into engaging digital content  
  • Lead content strategy development and editorial planning  
  • Guide and direct a group of social media managers ensuring cohesiveness across an extense portfolio
  • Build stakeholder relationships across communications, legal, and business teams  
  • Provide strategic counsel on digital presence and industry trends  
  • Measure and optimize communication effectiveness through analytics 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field 
  • 8+ years of combined experience in executive communications and digital strategy  
  • Proven track record developing executive positioning and digital presence  
  • Strong understanding of B2B social media landscape and thought leadership
  • Experience working directly with C-suite executives  
  • Excellence in strategic storytelling and content development  
  • Experience developing social media and editorial copywriting/ghostwriting
  • Deep knowledge of digital platforms and analytics  
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills  
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (tech, financial services, etc.)  
  • Experience in government/public affairs, technology sector or professional services  
  • Understanding of corporate governance and compliance  
  • Crisis communications experience  
  • Strategic thinking and executive presence

  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $123,250.00 to $137,750.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
