The purpose of the Document Development Supervisor position is to lead a team of Legal Technical Writers within the Corporate Legal Department in an effective and consistent manner.


 

Outcomes and Activities:

  • Coach team members to develop, draft and implement clear, concise and compliant documents (such as policies, processes, training materials, job aids and corporate agreements).
  • Coach team members to conduct meetings with leaders to evaluate, execute, and finalize documents.
  • Work with business leaders and attorneys to set clear expectations and deadlines for document development milestones.
  • Oversee the administration of the Company’s Document Library and Document Submission Tool.
  • Support all aspects of the Company’s Document Management Program.
  • Assess and action the dimensions of Org. Health that directly affect your team to drive top performance. You will do this by:
    • Ensuring your team consists of the Right People.
    • Setting and enforcing Clear Expectations for your team.
    • Monitoring and evaluating team performance and continuously coach team members via the Performance Management process.
    • Identifying Training opportunities and act as the primary trainer on core Policies and Processes.
    • Creating the Right Work Environment.
  • Set your team up for operational success by:
    • Getting close to the work and the people through a mix of doing the work yourself and observing your team members doing the work.
    • Enforcing the proper application of department processes and policies.

  • Self-driven and able to perform with minimal supervision.
  • Effective at assessing people for their fit with their assigned role to ensure you have the Right People.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication

  • Organized, with an ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Communication, English, Business, Marketing, Journalism or related field)
  • Experience with quickly learning and becoming a subject matter expert in new systems/processes
  • Current or previous leadership experience
  • Technical writing, compliance management, document control, policy/procedure writing, quality assurance/control or related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Professional

Preferred:

  • Experience with Knowledge Management or other databases of information
  • Experience with developing or managing metrics and reporting
  • Experience working with ServiceNow

Targeted Compensation: $84,000.00 - $108,000.00 base salary + annual bonus
