Overview
Small & Medium Enterprise businesses are the backbone of the Canadian economy. They represent just over 98% of the businesses, contribute ~35% of the country’s GDP, and employ over 50% of the population. Mastercard is dedicated to enabling businesses to grow and thrive, stronger than before. The Canadian Small & Medium Enterprises team is looking for a Director, Product Management to help drive our growth in the segment through solution innovation & commercialization, value proposition enhancements (core & via partnerships), distribution of Mastercard products and solutions via alternative distribution channels, and P&L optimization. The ideal candidate is passionate about the Small & Medium Enterprises segment, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
Role
In this product management position the selected candidate will:
Execute against our strategy to capture incremental segment share and help secure market, divisional leadership
Analyze market trends, competition, and SME lifecycle journeys to inform product and go-to-market strategies, driving product differentiation and innovation 
Identify partnership opportunities to drive value proposition improvements and new distribution channels
Support and/or Lead the implementation of new product development initiatives, Product Line Strategy execution, and portfolio optimization activities in collaboration with Services
Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders (e.g. O&T, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Market Development, Account Management, Services, etc.) to deliver on role and business objectives (eg. portfolio growth, financial analysis/P&L driver optimization, marketing & sales materials, product enhancements, etc.) 
Support business development and account management colleagues in customer-facing discussions to help advance SME objectives
Collaborate with the broader Commercial & New Payment Flows team to help design and execute relevant use cases to advance digital solutions for the segment
Work with other regional and divisional teams ensure sales readiness and training by developing necessary sales enablement tools for SMEs

Have proven experience in engaging internal and external commercial and technical stakeholders to drive both solution development and adoption
Have intermediate experience in financial services and/or payments with an understanding of competitive offerings, industry trends and profitability drivers
SME banking or SME payment experience, international market knowledge/experience a plus
Have a keen understanding of competitive offerings, industry trends and go-to-market considerations; ability to translate that understanding into meaningful action and enhancements 
Have demonstrated ability to work across divisional and regional boundaries; strong relationship management, influencing, presentation/verbal and communication skills
Be self-motivated, a self-starter and a quick learner with ability to work independently and manage different priorities; thrives in a fast-paced environment; readiness to take-on stretch goals
