About linqd.

We power growth for some of the biggest names in the building products industry, helping them connect with more customers, expand market share, and achieve measurable results.

We’re a 100% virtual organization built on relationships, accountability, and performance. We invest in our people with competitive compensation, healthcare options, continuous learning, and a supportive, performance-driven culture, because the work we do for our clients is only as strong as the team behind it.

About the role:

linqd. is looking for a Director of Marketing Operations & Technology to lead the team responsible for turning client strategy into executed, measurable, optimized marketing programs. You’ll own our marketing tech stack end-to-end, from how campaigns are built and orchestrated, to how performance is measured, to how insights flow back into the work.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll partner closely with Account Management, Strategy & Creative, and our Insights, Analysis & Planning team to deliver against client goals, attend client meetings, present recommendations, and serve as the technical and operations voice, while also working with our CTO and Product Team to shape where our tech stack goes next.

What you’ll do:

Strategy & cross-functional leadership

  • Lead the marketing operations and technology function, setting the standard for how campaigns are built and optimized across our client base.
  • Partner with Account Management to translate client goals into campaign architectures that use our tech stack effectively.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and Product Team on the next evolution of our stack, including the build-out of our omnichannel and technology capabilities.
  • Stay close to the market, bring in new practices and technologies that keep linqd. ahead.

Tech stack ownership

  • Own HubSpot (CRM, marketing, sales, reporting) end-to-end.
  • Build agile, repeatable processes for setting up customer journeys and campaign elements across email, SMS, voice, and emerging channels.
  • Partner with the analytics and data team to make sure the right data connections are in place to power campaign execution and measurement.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize live campaigns and bring forward content or touchpoint recommendations to Account Management.

Client engagement

  • Serve as a client-facing partner alongside Account Management, attending client meetings, presenting campaign performance and recommendations, and representing the operational and technical side of the work.
  • Participate in client campaign audits and reviews, bringing forward data-backed insights and optimization opportunities.
  • Build trust with clients as the go-to voice on tech stack capabilities, customer journey design, and what’s possible across channels.

Team leadership

  • Hire, coach, and develop the marketing operations team, including managers and freelance resources.
  • Run regular performance conversations, set clear expectations, and build career paths for your team.
  • Act as the trusted advisor across the organization on customer journey implementation, testing, and tech stack best practices.

What we’re looking for

  • 5–8 years in marketing operations working across CDP, CRM, and email/SMS platforms — agency, consultancy, or in-house, with B2B2C experience strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years leading a team, directly or indirectly.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of the marketing tech stack and how to scale processes across a team.
  • Strong strategic instincts paired with the ability to interpret client needs and translate them into executable plans.
  • Comfort managing multiple clients and projects in parallel without losing the thread. Confident presenting to client stakeholders, leading working sessions, and translating technical concepts into business outcomes.
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA a plus.
  • Building products / multi-channel, multi-audience industry experience is a nice-to-have.
  • Occasional travel may be required, including overnight trips, based on business needs and client requirements.

Where you’ll work

This is a remote position. linqd., is headquartered in Endicott, NY, with team members across the U.S.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
