The Director, HR Business Partner-Consumer Product & Engineering at Reddit is a critical role to Reddit’s success in achieving our singular mission to empower communities and make their knowledge accessible to all. Reddit’s People and Culture (P&C) team is seeking a seasoned Global Consumer Product & Engineering HR thought leader with a practical approach to problem solving, to proactively collaborate with leaders to help our business achieve its full potential. Reporting to the Sr. Director, HRBP, and skip-reporting to Reddit’s Chief People & Culture Officer, you’ll lead a cross-functional Consumer Product & Engineering HRBP team and serve as the direct HRBP for our Chief Product Officer. At Reddit, all HRBPs play a critical role in deepening connections between P&C strategy and business success. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Be a proactive and collaborative direct partner to the Chief Product Officer to create and drive critical organizational initiatives
  • Serve as a highly aligned, dotted-line thought partner to additional product and engineering executives across user growth, ML, core engineering, and internal technology functions
  • Lead and develop the Consumer Product and Engineering HRBP team as they drive all cyclical P&C programs and workforce planning initiatives including org assessment, design, and development, peak performance management, succession planning, and other talent management initiatives
  • Partner with leaders to build high performing teams where innovation, diverse perspectives, focus on quality and execution, inclusivity and fun are celebrated
  • Analyze data to identify trends, provide insights and make recommendations to key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to develop scalable solutions, programs and policies to improve the Snoo experience
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional P&C teams to ensure consistency and scalability of successful programs and processes

Experience you must bring with you:

  • A futurist global view of product and engineering people and business needs for Reddit 2025 and beyond
  • Proven effectiveness in executive coaching and organizational development and design
  • Proven experience managing full technical HR function at global organizations, particularly during periods of growth
  • Strong ability to forecast and onboard business goals, understand priorities and translate into designing and executioning impactful talent strategies and approaches
  • Familiarity with Reddit product or other UGC platforms
  • Ability to connect diverse and geographically diffuse talent populations to single company mission to unlock excellence across all snoos
  • 10+ years’ of progressive HR experience
  • Deep understanding of employment law and best practices
  • Workday efficiency expert; be able to partner with and influence systems and operations teams to align on best practices for Reddit

Pay Transparency:

This job posting may span more than one career level.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is:

$245,800$344,100 USD
