The Content Enrichment Specialist will review video content in Mandarin Chinese for our client. They will utilize their passion for pop culture and social media trends to identify patterns and provide insight on the digital landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in our content enrichment and editorial divisions to create comprehensive decks for our client
  • Review video content to identify patterns or trends in video content
  • Apply a keen awareness of the cultural and political climate to all work
  • Identify cultural and demographic target audiences for marketing campaigns
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Must be available to work occasional holidays

Required Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese, and ability to read traditional Chinese characters
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in relevant job or industry
  • Experience with content moderation, content review, curation, or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of digital streaming products, particularly video and its ecosystem 
  • The ability to review information with an analytical and objective mindset in a fast paced environment
  • A keen interest in/knowledge of pop culture, social media trends and creators, and trending video content
  • Strong familiarity with memes, hit songs and content trends in pop culture including music, dance, gaming, beauty, fashion, film, TV, pets, comedy, and/or sports
  • Familiar with popular social media platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Clubhouse, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working remotely and within multicultural teams
  • Experience with copywriting and proofreading, preferably with a focus on entertainment content
  • Comfortable working with Google Suite, with spreadsheets and other data management tools
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in guidelines, workflows, and tools
  • Knowledge of Taiwanese culture and traditions
  • Familiarity with the current local social media landscape such as key influencers and trends

Job Type: Independent Contractor

  • Short term 4-6 weeks
  • 10-30 hours per week

Location: Australia or United States

United States Hourly Salary Range: USD 24-30/hour

Remote requirements: We’re proud to provide a remote work environment that allows employees the ability to reduce their commute and operate within a comfortable home environment. Please be aware that due to legal requirements and the sensitivity of the material we handle for our clients, this position requires that you be able to work a consistent schedule from a location (home office, coworking space, etc.) within your home state or locality.

Holiday work requirements: Due to the nature of our client’s work, you may be required to work occasional holidays as scheduled by your manager. In these instances, we will provide compensatory pay or a floating holiday depending on your country’s requirements.
