SUMMARY:

The Central Production Coordinator supports Production executives by focusing on features in development, pre production, production as well as some aspects of the physical studio space. They report to the EVP of Production and Operations.

Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. We pride ourselves on empowering filmmakers to lead the creative process, and allowing the hand of the artist to be truly felt, with the goal of producing bold and innovative visual storytelling.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

-  Organize and schedule meetings across series and film in development/production.

-  Attend relevant pre production and production meetings and take notes.

-  Coordinate travel for production, manage and complete expense reports, order office supplies when needed, and other necessary day-to-day operations to support the department.

-  Serve as a liaison to connect and provide information between internal and external groups by fostering trusting and open relationships with production teams across the studio.

-  Gather, maintain, and distribute documentation and resources for the department.

-  Assist in maintaining and organizing relevant production reports

-  Assist with any space planning needs for the studio


QUALIFICATIONS:

-  BA or BS degree preferred

-  Previous animation office or production experience.

-  Highly organized, resourceful and dependable with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

-  Good with following through on projects.

-  Ability to multitask and work well in a fast paced department.

-  Able to work independently and set appropriate priorities.

-  Take direction when needed and also take the initiative where applicable.

-  Dependable and ability to maintain a high level of discretion.

-  Ability to work with both in-person and remote groups.

-  Computer and technology literate – familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems, Photoshop, Word, Excel and Google Suite.


REQUIREMENTS:

-  Candidates must be eligible to work in the US and must be at least 18 years old

-  High School diploma required, Bachelors preferred.

-  Computer and technology literate – familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems, Photoshop, Word, Excel, and Gmail.

-  Must possess an active driver’s license.

-  Ability to lift 20+ pounds. 


The anticipated base salary for this position is $25/hour to $31/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
