We are looking for a U.S. home-based Business Development Manager – Third Party Remarketing who will play a critical part in providing top-notch products and services in a unique industry and at a rapidly growing organization.

As the Business Development Manager – Third Party Remarketing, you will be responsible to develop Third Party Remarketing relationships externally, through prospecting; lead generation; analytics, proposals, negotiations, and ultimately onboarding new customers.
A Day in the Life
85%:
- Drive Wing-to-Wing sales processes to include client prospecting, lead generation, making sales calls, analyzing data, preparing proposals, negotiating price or other terms, and onboarding new clients to initiate relationship building process.
- Research and contract new clients with owned vehicles and repossessed assets and sign them up for Remarketing Servicing through Element with the goal of generating service revenue.
- Develop annual strategic plan including key milestones, deliverables and timelines and execute, engaging others in the business as required.
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of a strategic plan focused on vehicle remarketing and align with overall organization on strategic goals, to position ELEMENT as a subject matter expert and differentiate us in the marketplace. Support measurements that accurately reflect the success of the strategy and execution of the processes to drive it.
- Design and implementation of marketing campaigns and auction promotions, evaluation and pricing of vehicles offered for sale, ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency of vendors used for disposal, frequent verbal, and written communication to clients regarding the disposition of assets.
- Understand prospects’ business objectives and translate into solutions to achieve successful outcomes for both the client and Element.
- Capture dealer needs and expectations and tailor Element’s offerings to win clients.
- Develop effective business relationships with new prospects and maintain a cohesive working relationship with departments and functions within the Company.

- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for both internal and external customer inquiries regarding the used vehicle market and specific used vehicle prices by leveraging industry benchmarks and client defined formulas.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of major competition and recognition of their strengths and weaknesses.
- Participate in the development of techniques to improve sales effectiveness, product knowledge and updating prospect files and lists.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of vehicle remarketing & sales experience
- Knowledge of asset sales processes and procedures along with the ability to accurately price vehicles for sale
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, repair and manufacturer’s warranty, with a strong mechanical aptitude
- Lifecycle knowledge of asset configurations and the potential impact of resale values
- Knowledge of vehicle manufacturers, upfit process helpful.
- Ability to travel (25-30%, as needed)

- Ability to build and maintain a solid working knowledge of Element internal systems
- Demonstrated ability to learn and expand business knowledge in the Fleet industry
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
The hiring base salary range for this position is $128,000 - $176,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
