About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented individual to join our business development team as a Business Development Analyst, focusing on research and lead generation. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential customers & partners, generating sales leads, and nurturing relationships with prospects. Your primary objective will be to support the business development team by creating a pipeline of qualified leads and ensuring a continuous flow of opportunities.

Kadena will grow rapidly and dynamically in the coming years, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable and capable in quickly capitalizing on arising opportunities and ready to take on roles and responsibilities best suited to maximize growth. We will be looking for a candidate with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a character that is welcoming of new challenges that will arise in a fast-paced and high-growth industry.

This position will report directly to our Capital Markets Lead, with the opportunity to grow with the role and company. 

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Identify and research potential clients and key decision-makers within target industries or market segments
  • Collaborate closely with the business development team to promote partnerships within the digital assets ecosystem
  • Qualify leads by engaging in meaningful conversations, and understand clients’ use-cases and needs. Leverage Kadena’s unique technical features to create meaningful business opportunities in line with the team and company strategic goals
  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach, to generate interest and create initial contact with prospects
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead generation activities and customer interactions in the CRM system, and utilize various sales and marketing tools to identify and track leads, manage pipelines, and monitor progress towards targets
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry trends to effectively communicate the value proposition to prospects
  • Collaborate with marketing, solution engineers, and product teams to provide insights and feedback on lead generation strategies and campaigns
  • Participate in regular sales team meetings and provide input on lead generation strategies, market trends, and customer feedback
  • Provide research, thought leadership content and attend industry events

What Sets You Apart

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a curious mind - you are a self-starter with a proactive mindset, able to take loose direction and drive new processes and procedures from inception to completion
  • Experience in blockchain technology and digital assets, or a strong willingness to learn 
  • Passion for emerging technology and innovation 
  • Strong background in traditional finance, capital markets, investment banking or consulting a plus 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—comfortable representing Kadena on calls, video meetings, and at industry events
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, coupled with exceptional writing skills to produce institutional-grade presentations, spreadsheet and various materials for client distribution
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, with a strong focus on producing high-quality business documents for internal and external use
  • Team-oriented yet highly self-motivated, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively
  • Ideally based in NYC or within commute distance of NYC
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred

This role has an annual starting salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 + benefits listed below. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to your individual skills and experience.
